Update on this weekend's performance.

I'm sorry buddy but 2025 is a disaster for SSG.
Sadly, they had so many problems that I wouldn’t be surprised if the new expansions come with a whole host of their own as well. If they then manage to reinstall the Burglar bug again, someone should be pushed out the door.

Did i understand the 'push out the door' comment correctly? You advocating sacking one of team? Taking someones living from them because you had a bit of lag? If thats the case....wow

Some fresh air to have a bit of a think I took it to mean. Pointless to remove when you can educate and update procedures. A useless cog could resign if letting down their friends.

I am in however, bye

For me at least, the performance only worsened from the day they opened the transfer option to 64bit. Prior to that day I had good experience on Mordor server, moving around freely in crowded areas (Bree town) and during festivals even with no lag, but as soon as the transfers were available, I started experiencing the lag again as if I was back on 32bit server.

I'll make a prediction - the lag people are experiencing is due to the servers just not being able to handle *a certain level* of population at one time. Unless I miss my guess, this ain't fixable. The fix is more servers and smaller pops per server. Now, I'm not suggesting that's going to happen but there you are.

Lasted 3 hours 40 mins then all the lag came back for me. Orcrist 520 non anon surely US coming online should not effect us, if we have been separated ofc.

I'm thinking a major part of the issue is one that I believe was already mentioned before: It's in the way players and their data are loaded across the world and how players load other players. (Fact-check me, please.) If so, then perhaps the Fellowing feature of the Social panel is a contributor to lag, since it seems to check the quests of other players near you constantly when it doesn't need to do that in most cases. Let it load only when opened and unload when closed. *shrug*

I’m not particularly bothered by lag, but I do find it concerning that one (or perhaps more) employees managed to introduce a major error into the game for a second time. All I said was that if it happens a third time, the quota of mistakes has surely been used up.

Or do you mean to suggest they can repeat the same error endlessly, without consequences, even if it damages the company’s reputation and delays production because the same fault has to be fixed again and again? In most real companies, there are limits to how many serious mistakes are tolerated. Typically, the first incident leads to a conversation on what happen and how to avoid it another time, the second is usually a written warning, and the third may begin the process of dismissal.

I fully support this. Plus it wasn't first time THIS year that the same bug was reintroduced to the game again after it was hotfixed (or blocked in some way) in earlier patch. So that definitely shouldn't happen again. I also don't recall reintroducing previous bugs heavily affecting game performance in previous years.
SSG needs to make sure it won't happen again imo, if it will happen due to the same person again then well, conclusion becomes apparent...

I am continually amazed here by the number of of posters who think that by playing a video game, they are entitled to diagnose system issues, interfere in personnel decisions, and make business calls. News flash: Unless you work for SSG, it's really not your place to make these kinds of decisions. You may certainly suggest all you want, but that's as far as it goes. If you can't deal with this reality, perhaps you should consider playing another game.

Still unable to get past load character screen unless I log in 60 times and crash. Cancelling my sub soon, please fix before the rage quit comes.

Mr. Lag is back!!!
You fixed nothing or another issue is now at play.
Could not even log out properly, had to shut down from Task Manager.
Server - Mordor.
This is getting ridiculous now, everything was fine up till the day you made transfers available.
Very frustrating, performance is worse now than ever before, even on 32bit servers in a crowded areas or Etten raids I did not experience this lag.

By your logic, if differing opinions bother you, maybe the internet isn’t for you?

Funny, but that's not what I said. I was simply pointing out that whining on the forums is not likely to influence business decisions. People are entitled to their own opinions, not their own facts. And they are certainly free to share their opinions here, where did I imply otherwise?

It was said that "suggestions" are "fine," while those making suggestions, speculating about causes, or sharing criticisms were then somehow said to be acting as though they are "entitled" to "diagnose system issues," make "business decisions" for a company and "interfere" in their "personnel decisions."

None of which is actually happening here (one person postulating that repeated and future egregious lapses should probably have repercussions, while not something I would say, hardly merits a generalized rebuke).

It's easy to be "amazed" by a "number of people" here when actions are attributed to them that they are not, in reality, doing.

(Re)characterizing reasonable behavior as unreasonable is pretty much "step 1" in the "I'd like to pick a fight with people on the internet who are saying things I don't like" handbook. I once asked a simple question as this whole debacle got underway, and calmly explained the reasons why I was asking (all of which were proven to be 100% valid by events). For my trouble, I was repeatedly/relentlessly called "hysterical" and "demanding" (among worse things) for several pages until the thread was locked.

So, as they say: "Ask me how I know."

So your issue is you don't think people are "entitled" to (paste copy your accusations here) but you're perfectly comfortable essentially telling other people what they should or should not be posting on a message board where YOU are not the owner or employed?

You do understand the contradiction/hypocrisy right? I am begging you, BEGGING YOU to please reply with a justification that not only denies my premise but provides a narrative that illustrates how you are not.

Thanks, I look forward to reading your response.
