Off-topic, but I really would like to know: What does that term mean? Or what did you mean by it? It is the first time I hear/read it.P.S. I know "seal clubbing" is not an okay term, but due to the nature of the event, Yeah I'm going to use it!
That is a very, shall we say, fraught topic. Suggest you use a web search because the LOTRO forums are not an appropriate place to get into a discussion about that. Shame on the person before you for even bringing it up.Off-topic, but I really would like to know: What does that term mean? Or what did you mean by it? It is the first time I hear/read it.

Yes, you can club anyone who's inside the arena. If you go into the arena without any of the quests, can people still club you? I don't want to frustrate somebody by walking into the arena for a little while to try to help them if they wouldn't be able to target me.
Lagonk usually keeps his(her?) character afk'ed in the arena so that someone who is alone can still do the event as often there's not many on Crickhollow and it'd otherwise be empty of "competitors" to bonk.I don't know Lagnok and I don't know how did he/she help you but it nice to see kind players still helping there (this year I haven't done festival).
Now that you mention that arena I always liked how often people collaborate on that quest so everyone could finish it. There is almost always somebody, sometimes even 2 people, who stays for others to kick them to finish quest. I also like to stay because I remember when I had bad laptop and trying to finish that deed on my first character how I was happy that someone who I never met before stayed there for me to finish.
