Tracking Class Reworks and Needed Changes

Stop Halting Class Fixes

Well-known member
The game is stagnating, but this topic gives me something to do; so who wants to help me track and aggregate needed changes for each class, and have broad discussions about class reworks? If you want to contribute, just drop what you have in the thread.

Reworks that haven't happened yet:
Brawler (unlikely given the age of the class)
Burglar
Champion
Hunter
Mariner (obviously not on the table for the foreseeable future)
Runekeeper

Reworks that are confirmed to be next in line:
Hunter

Changes that are needed for whole classes or specific specs:
Beornings
Blue
Needs more skills
Red

Yellow
Needs more raw healing
Brawlers
Blue

Red

Burglars
Blue

Red

Yellow

Captains
Captains as a whole don't have a lot of traceries to pick from.
Blue
Needs more raw healing
Red
Maybe add the double rez to red
Yellow

Champions
Blue
Could use more tanking oriented skills
Red

Yellow

Guardians
Blue

Red

Hunters
Blue

Red

Yellow
Needs a buff to its utility skills
Needs more utility skills
Needs a reduction to purge poison's cooldown time
Loremasters
Blue
needs more interesting gameplay
Red

Yellow

Mariners
Blue

Red

Yellow
Needs a longer mez duration or more cc in order to compensate
Minstrels
Blue
May need a little more raw healing
May need shorter cooldowns on long cooldown heals
Red

Runekeepers
Runekeepers appear to be the default targets for enemies that don't have anything on their aggro tables. This causes significant issues for group play.
Blue
May need a nerf to healing
Could use some way of making better use of frost affinity
Red
Needs more survivability
Yellow
Needs more damage or needs to gain more utility
Wardens
Wardens need quicker gambit use. Reaction times are strained, and lag makes gambit use unbearable.
Blue
Need to have higher mitigations by default
Red

Classes that have style chains do well when they are slower classes.

This should be taken into account in the future.
Because it's definitely fun. But it makes more sense if you have time and aren't frantically pressing the buttons and just staring at your hotbars.

Hectic, fast classes therefore don't do well with these style chains.
If I swing a slow two-handed axe, I have a few seconds in between with style chains, then the styles that build on each other are staged well, then it's a lot of fun.

Otherwise it degenerates into work.
Both the Mariner and the Warden have this problem.
The speed required only maximizes the stress and you hardly notice anything of the game's surroundings.

Therefore... for the future... Style chains are a great thing and were some of the most fun I had in older games back then, rather than just pushing through the skills. But if they are, then these play styles need a slower play style to enjoy them.

How about Warden needs to have Evade switched back on as a default? ... say one point Evade per Agi, and make BPE more useful again while you are at it :) I would rather they fixed BPE and put Warden back into their niche role instead of turning all tanks into Mit tanks.

Brawler buffs are just silly... You can have like 7 buffs which last anywhere from 6-20 seconds. If you try to use them all they will start wearing off immediately. They should be consolidated into 1 or 2 buffs with a shorter cooldown to boost their DPS which is lacking end-game as well.
