Older Challenges/Rewards in the current level cap.

I’ve been thinking about coming back to the Legendary Servers, but I’m trying to understand how older level-cap challenge rewards work now that the cap has increased to 105.


For example, the wiki lists Gaunt-lord’s Frame as a level 65 reward, but it does not specify whether it can still be obtained later inside the legendary server reward system.

Can I come back at level 105, run the old challenge mode, and still get it, even if I’m overleveled and basically one-shotting things? Or was it only obtainable during the period when the Legendary Server cap was actually 65?

If rewards like this are only available during their original cap window, I might prefer to wait until a new Legendary Server starts again instead of coming back now.

frame is this one rare (or maybe only?) case of "do that when server is 65 cap or wait for another server".

And you wont oneshoot everything in challenge mode, because challenge mode (for scallable instances) is active only at server cap

On another hand deeds and rewards coming with them should be possible even now.

Are you 100% sure of that info? Sorry for contesting it, but it's because it seems to contradict other info I just saw online. I'm coming from this Reddit thread, and it seems not to match what was posted there about a year ago. Did the rules change, or was it a special case for closing servers (since they sped up Treebeard closure due to the 64-bit change)?

It seems to me that they were advising in that thread about what you could get at level 130 *back in Treebeard*. Wouldn't make much sense, they mention the https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Item:Gaunt-lord's_Frame in that scenario, but maybe I got it wrong.


Also, what about Legendary coins? Can we still get them for the respective previous level expansions (Moria/Mirkwood/etc) for exclusive furniture/cosmetics, or were they only available at their momentary server level cap?

Yes, I'm sure about OD frame. It have to be 65 challenge mode, and challenge mode for scallable instance require running instance on cap of server. Anyone can test that in few seconds by running instance on t2 (actually, I did that, OD 105 t2- challenge. OD 65 t2- no challenge. And yes, maybe it was special case, Idk, I remember a lot of people mad about not getting their shiny frame, because werent able to complete challenge at 65, and knew, that at later levels it isn't part of loot table.

And yes, legendary coins are avaliable, their quests require "running instance" at level of their old cap or higher, and just that.

You're right, it is just a frame, although a cool one. I think it's worth going back to the legendary servers and having some unique fun there for a bit. I originally just played Anor and Ithil. Unfortunately, I lost the window to transfer my OG character from there, and I believe it was deleted already at this point.

I wonder if someone, or if there is somewhere, where I can see the list of all "to-dos" that can only be achieved/acquired in the actual legendary servers at any time, and the awards that are at the current level cap only. That would be of great help, as I decided to play in Angmar (USA) to try the Nazgul events and other things.
