Thank you for sharing the link! It have a lot
of new intesting house decorations, mostly never seeing in game before. It made me feel like a kid walking in "Toys'r us". Many of those items never imagined. Some others barely asked a few weeks ago. Quite a few are big complex items

I specially love that they added a lot of
adurhid (oasis elf) & zahani style furnitures. Also those divisory walls that let pass illumination on assorted sizes & textures are spot on.

Do those pergolas have physics? 🤨 That could get...interesting.
The hovering pergolas is surely a decorative
floor structure with a nice 3D texture for somebody that may want to do a indoors vineyard.

I'm sold on the dividers but fear that the already sparse lighting in the classic kin houses will not permit such interruption in the flow of light. Unless that is fixed, I only will buy what I need for Rivendell which might be nothing.

Please fix lighting issues so I can give these items a home.

Been testing out the new decorations. I'm a bit surprised that the Decorative Panels aren't "solid" (meaning they can be walked through). Since they would be useful as room separators (or plugging archways, etc.) if they were solid, is this intentional to make them not solid?

The original art did not have physics - their intention for our use (World Design team) was to have them as wall hangings. Because of that, there was no need for them to have physics or to have back-side surfaces. Pretty much everything from this collection of housing items (the ones I made anyway) are items pulled directly from the art created by our Art Team - nothing unique just for housing.

Too bad on the physics, but I understand the team is balancing the time investment and all...

FWIW, the back side surface just being flat and consistent (stone?) is great. Happy accident :D

I may even use some that way (no offense to the art on the front, just sometimes simple is the style target)

I was hoping they at least have the same design visible from both sides like the tapestries. If I put them in as room dividers, stone is not going to work. Guess I stick with the elven screen for that purpose.

Understood, those items looks nice
anyways & im glad that they god added as house decorations. I could think of several big rooms where i may want to use them. Sometimes i find practical to have items without physics when i want view privacy but not physically block like soft tapestries & hanging plants. A big wooden, metal, or stone screen i expect them to be solid. If the item is extremely big, i hope they have at least 1 small door hole just big enough to allow my tall folks toons walk through it comfortably. Also, we already have plenty of normal plain stone walls so i hope that these new items have visible decorations when seeing from both sides.

They fix bugs and work on improving server and client performance with literally every update and background work between updates. But go off.
Well said! There is no reason why can't
have both. In fact, it is with the money they make from selling cosmetics & new content that they can allow to keep upgrading the game & fixing the bugs that manage to sneak through release to live servers.

Would be amazing to see a resource of what cosmetics/housing items you can acquire through the game relatively easily and what are in fact store exclusive.
For housing decorations, I would recommend this website (which has all items, including where/how to acquire them): https://dcodumilieu.com/. Housing decorations can usually only obtained from one source (though there are a few exceptions). This means that shop decorations can as a general rule not be acquired via quest/local barter/instance drop.

Armour and cosmetics can be found in lotrowiki (https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Main_Page), but not in a particularly user-friendly way if you are just looking for outfits. However, you can inspect players if you like their outfits and then use the name of the item to look it up in lotrowiki.
You can look up store cosmetics here: https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/LOTRO_Store_Avatar_Cosmetics .

Many cosmetics sold in Lalia's Market can also be found in the skirmish camp. AFAIK, if their name is "Ceremonial XYZ", this indicates that the item is based on real armour (you can then look it up in lotrowiki, search for XYZ).

Example: This armour (breast & legs) can be bought as cosmetics in Lalia's Market, but it is based on an old Ettenmoors armout set (https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Threkkappi_Armour_(Level_50)):
This is the cosmetic version in Lalia's Market: https://lotro-wiki.com/wiki/Item:Ceremonial_Reinforced_Threkkappi_Guard .

For cosmetic outfits, the general rule is the other way round (compared to housing decorations): almost everything in Lalia's Market can be acquired elsewhere in the game.

Is it true what they say about Lalia's Market and how they sell random landscape questing gear as cosmetic variants?
It is truth & not even a scam. The reason is
that some players asked the devs to get cosmetic copies those outfits that didn't require them to make effort to earn them, only to pay money. The devs answer was the outfit sets that are currently sold there. No idea what where their the requirements to decide what items to copy by i recall most the sets where put together by a small group of players that had a personal website & those people gave names to those sets that didn't correspond to the original pieces names.

Go ahead & test it. Link a screenshot of
any those Lalia's market outfit set. We may tell you how to get the original items that the set copied. There is only a few cloaks at Lalia's market that can't be neither earn, purchase, nor crafted, but they can also be acquired at LOTRO store making them not exclusive neither.

Those comments are not about the house
decorations, since they recently got added there. Lalia's market used to be for outfits only. Even then a few elven style pieces that got added where formerly at LOTRO store, copied from other pieces that can also be acquired in game, but alike what happened to the outfit sets, some people wanted to aquire them by paying, not making the effort to earn them.

What are you talking about? I never implied it's a scam but that it seems like the market was never given a real update to wearable cosmetics (housing items is a welcome addition though)
And that as a newer player I don't want to end up spending on cosmetics that I can easily acquire. I just learned recently that a lot of the cosmetics sold are from the skirmish barters. You can't defend that
At no moment i said that you said that is a scam. Dont overthink it

...and I'll note that the walls in this are a lot more what would be useful for the use case I was describing. I've already played with them a bit on Bullroarer. I suspect Lorianna might be pleased with them too (decorative, two sided)...
Out of curiosity, have you noticed if from the
500 new items, they add a full wall with doorhole or arched wall, & if so what style?

All those new things are nice, but when will you put in effort to stop the immense laggs?
Agreed.

And ... if there was only the same effort to make things look good with character cosmetics which - for a reason - only ever gets preview images with male race of man models but looks terrible on females (esp. on elf and race of man females) ...

I have enough mithril coins that I no longer bother to buy any patron's coffers because I know that the character cosmetics will look like **** on female characters.

(14 years after the release of Isengard, the preorder cloaks of the Isengard collectors - the big bundle back then - still make my female characters look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame and especially most cosmetic shoulders float somewhere in mid air around female chars which makes them have shoulders that make Schwarzenegger and Stallone in their prime look tiny ...)

SSG stop pumping out more and more housing decorations and start taking care of character cosmetics.
Or continue pumping out more and more decorations but fix the character cosmetics issues.
To see housing cosmetics, I have to actively visit my house (or someone else's) while I see the character cosmetics EVERYWHERE.

Another note:
Where are the previews of character cosmetics and housing items in the store ? Or housing item previews in Lalia's Market.
One reason I do NOT buy stuff a lot of times is that I am too lazy to go to an external website to see how stuff actually looks.

It's about time to drop that horrible external winhttp.dll browser and actually fully integrate that stuff into the game client ...
(With full previews of both char cosmetics and housing stuff, as another mmo I played - Rift - managed to do ages ago)
