Help: Guardian DPS

Hello

I'm a new player in LOTRO and I liked the look of Dwarf + Guardian due to the possibility of fighting with a sword and shield, however I have the feeling that Guardian must be a tank, but I want to be a DPS, because playing Solo as a tank makes me looks like suffering

I accept tips and warnings so I can develop a Guardian DPS with sword and shield

Simply go red line with a two hand sword. Sword and shield is for tanking, and guardians are excellent tanks in blue line, but deal very little DPS. Red line with a two hander though they are a very good DPS class. You could try going sword and board in red line, but honestly you'd just be handicapping yourself.

It’s not that big of a handicap. You will do less damage with weapon+shield than you will with a two-handed weapon but you will get a lot of extra stats from the shield and will be able to use the various skills which require a shield. You’ll take less damage at the cost of defeating mobs a little more slowly. It’s a perfectly reasonable choice, especially when playing at a Landscape Difficulty setting higher than 0.
