Discontinued cosmetic items - why not offer them for sale?

I'll be upfront with my motivation on this post - I had an account from 2010 that was compromised. I lost a bunch of great characters, a ton of cosmetics in the wardrobe and in storage, and an army of crafters that could make just about anything. I'm over it, and I've moved on with a new account and new everything. Seeing items that are no longer available because legendary items have changed so much (1st age level 75 2h sword is still my favorite in the game) along with various other things that seem to have vanished for no reason (Elven Prospector's Pack used to be a Expert Tailor recipe...not anymore) just seems like a wasted opportunity. Items like these can still be found on rare occasions in the AH for rather absurd sums of gold, but is there a logical reason why these appearances aren't sold in the LoTRO store or in Lalia's Market?

They have slowly been releasing some of them via special supporter packs, like we recently got one for Moria/Isengard related cosmetics. They have also slowly added a few items here and there in Laila's that were no longer available in game..... but I think they are withholding some of the other cosmetics for future coffers or for future figment bartering.

There are a TON of different cosmetics that can no longer be gotten in-game. Some of them will invoke a sense of pride, a "I was there, 3,000 years ago" moment where you got that one weapon that now no one else can get...... and some of those may never see the light of day in any other way as they are considered accomplishments for which you had to have history of the game and work hard for..... For instance, I don't think the weapons and armor from the Rift raid will be made available in any other way, similarly to the turtle stuff that drops (dropped) in Filikul.

Some things certainly could be sold in Laila's, such as the first age appearances of most of the Legendary items...... some other items though, the ones people had to fought long and hard for to get..... even though they might no longer be obtainable, I think it is fine for players to have unique things that no one else can ever get again.
