Disappearing Decorations in Rivendell Homes

Is anyone else experiencing disappearing decorations in their Rivendell homes? I am not sure if this is exclusive to 2 torrent-path, because I haven't yet experienced anything of the like with my kinship home in the neighborhood, but I have been struggling with a strange bug that causes decorations indoors and outdoors to disappear as I'm trying to move them. If I try slotting a different decoration after the former has disappeared, I get an error message. This obviously makes decorating very frustrating, especially if you are using hooks from closed-off rooms that you have to open up again to reselect the hook. Relogging doesn't fix the issue. Please, please fix!!!

Its the lag within the homestead that I believe is causing them to disappear. My theory is that the objects are still there, but because of the severe loading delays, they appear to be missing until the client catches up. That could also explain the unusually short draw distance in the Rivendell homestead.

Of course, this is only speculation, but my guess is that either the detail/draw distance has been intentionally reduced to improve performance, or there's something in the code that's preventing objects from rendering correctly at longer distances.

What I find particularly interesting is just how much more performance issues this homestead instance seems to have compared to other instances in the game. That makes me think there's something fundamentally different about how it's being handled.

The one difference is the ceiling surface decoration. Maybe the engine has some legacy code within that can not deal with this.

What happens if you remove the ceiling structure, do the items still vanish?

A fix is being researched - and hopefully the issue on the system/hook side of it will be addressed as part of Update 49. There may (likely will) be some decorations that aren't behaving properly after this fix (particularly decorations that are using very old artwork with incorrect/non-existent render distance categories), and those issues will need to be investigated and fixed individually as they pertain to the properties on the artwork of the decoration not the properties of the hooks. The bulk of the issue is related to the yard hook sizes themselves missing properties.

NOTE: This issue would potentially occur in any neighborhood using the new hook size artwork, not just Rivendell Housing.

Oh, that is a old appearance item that was 1st seeing at ​
Evendim landscape & 1st released as house decoration for yard hook. It fits the category that @Scenario_SSG described.

My Rivendell house is at 1 Torrent-Path a the Idhrelo Homestead. The Rivendell fireplace is missing. It was placed on a furniture hook. I don't know if other items are missing or not. I see others have this problem. I hope it can be addressed soon. Thanks!

One question: Is the fireplace missing since the update where certain new Rivendell decorations were changed in size?

If yes: The same happened to me, in 1 Highburg Road, where one of those new Rivendell decorations just disappeared with the update as if it was deleted (hook is now empty). I immediatley wrote a ticket. I even had screenshots of the situation before the update which were posted in the forums and official discord to document this, but no response to my ticket yet.

In my experience, there seem to be widespread issues with yard decorations *temporarily* disappearing in the yards of the Rivendell Steadings. As the owner of an entire, fully decorated Rivendell Steading I could also observe these issues myself.

However, it seems that some of the new Rivendell decorations *permanently* disappeared after said update that reworked their size. This does not seem to be connected to the (temporary) yard loading problems.

Yes. None of my hitching posts or steed halters are there. Even in decoration mode the posts are not there.

Lastly the devs have unslot items & auto send to storage, if used the hook, gets classified. That was this case:​
