Corruption removal can you please fix

The worst is when the corruption is a damage reflect. First you have to get a crit and get that reflected back, then you have to use Double-edged Strike and get that reflected back, THEN you can remove the corruption. It's brutal!

I agree! it's completely stupid, no other classes have to deal with this

Yeah as a burglar main i don't like this, corruption removal shouldn't be locked behind other skills to unlock it, they should change this, however there is nothing to fix, as it sits its working as intended, this was a change in Update 34 in November 2022.

"Purge Corruption is now a part of the critical response chain. It has a 5 second cooldown, and will be unlocked by using Double-edged Strike. Purge Corruption is also faster to use, and deals less damage than it did previously. This will allow burglars to dispel corruption effects much more quickly and effectively on a single target, but at a significant cost to your personal DPS." - Update 34 Release Notes

they could always attach corruption removal to another skill or remove it from the path it's in..

Pontin, neither Jevyan nor I are arguing that it's not working as intended. I remember when that change was made and I offered the same cautions at the time. Jevyan is using a loose colloquialism when she says, "fix" – she is requesting a change. Because it is working as intended but it's a very poor mechanic for corruption removal in most situations. No other class has to jump through two (!) hoops before being able to remove a corruption.

Agreed, it is especially noticeable on new servers with wraiths having corruptions by default. Would be good to either remove the requirement for crit + chain opening or make it somewhat easier to reach by making it the first skill in the chain, then you are not relying on double edged strike being available and executed.

yes, this is where I'm finding it really frustrating especially when not fully lvlled. Having to cj it and hope to get a crit whilst its down

Can you fix it that Burgs don't need to crit before being able to use corruption removal. No other char has to deal with this

I have said for years that this needs changing.

As a main Burg this is not the only skill that needs to be worked on within the different lines.

I dont get why we even have the skill throw dagger for one!!! - Whats the point in a Weapon Crafter making throwing knives now?
In the past if you wanted to pull a mob you would use crafted Throw knives not a skill

Contact Pedler - not needed if a VIP with the vip item
Burgle Skill - I dunno if there a deed for using this anymore (but who even uses it any more?)
