i wonder if they can do something were they can allow us to reach the exact level we had and make our own copy of what we had and have them send us the items we obtained so we can startt without transfer and not go from the start.

Play on the old servers a bit longer. Your progress will not be wasted - you will have it when you transfer over finally.

Sorry but it is a bad joke. I have never been able to transfer my characters. I have never seen the infamous "transfer" button. And now it is suspended for the third day in a row...Not impressed at all.

I thanked my lucky stars the minute SSG announced that they were taking LOTRO back from WB. Truly was close to quitting because WB was on the warpath to ruin the very heart of this game.

Been here since FFA. Always loved and respected Turbine staff (some number of whom became SSG) and how they treated their customers. The biggest promise kept was that they promised us Lifetime Founders that no matter what happened we would always be VIPs. They have continually been true to that promise, even when they could have abandoned us. And because of that my family and kin have stuck with this game through thick and thin, and dropped loads of cash into it to help, in some small way, to keep it running. This is a "thin" time, and as others have stated, we will weather this storm and laugh (or cry) about it well into the future. That doesn't help right now, but I trust that the solution will be found and all will be well again .. eventually. We, and they, will be bruised but not broken.

As for WB, I will never play any game that they have a hand in. Once burned, twice careful, as the saying goes.

So that means people who were lucky enough to catch a moment with the transfer button available will be able to create new characters and get names of characters that are still in limbo / that were supposed to be transfered right away but the players weren't able to get them into the process, correct?

yep just as we all said it didnt happen transfer goal post pushed to tomorrow ...cant wait for tomorrow's blunder that will happen mark my words.

Greetings. I apologize, but we aren't going to open transfer tonight, but instead aim for tomorrow morning as soon as we can. It won't be as early - we will give a better time when we can. The new servers will open tomorrow as planned so the people who have successfully tranferred will have a place to play and so people can log on and make characters to reserve names. In the future we also plan to have some way to rename Kinships so people who end up with "Cool Kinship-01" can make better choices, but that is something we need to work on longer term.

Tomorrow it seems

Fun fact, i called a similar (imo way worse than the one you quoted) toxic and tore it's points apart...
They deleted my reply and let the 'triggering' post online and ignored me after asking why they did it like this.
So these kind of posts are well within their community rules i guess.
