We understand that the past few months have created some extremely frustrating situations for our players regarding transfers, especially with Kinship housing and Escrow. While Customer Service continues to work diligently in helping this community reunite with their missing items, our Engineers have been hard at work improving the system and incorporating new tools.

One of the fixes we've incorporated involves missing Escrow. On Bullroarer, all eligible items will now properly move to escrow when selling Premium Housing.

How you can help:

• Buy a house in any neighborhood, focusing primarily on Premium Housing.
• Stuff the Housing Storage (not shared storage) chest full of items, and decorate the house with a bunch of stuff (both bound and unbound would be great but we understand bound will be difficult on a Test Server).
• Sell the house.
• Visit your Escrow and determine if all expected items now appear there, and bound items (if any) are returned to their owners.
• Please note that Kinship housing addresses are displaying as String Table errors. This is a known issue.

We know this isn't 'fun' or interesting testing, so we totally appreciate any time you folks can offer to assist. Thank you all so much for your patience as we work through these challenges.

My RK bought 7 Bay Road, Telugarth, Belfalas Homesteads, during the last BR session to test out the new housing bundles available in Lalia's Market. Hooks in the house were full of those items.

Today, I cleared out the Shared Housing Storage and plopped a bunch of stuff into the small Housing Storage, including two Bound to Character bundles ("All-Encompassing World-Traveller's Runner Bundle" and the "Dwarves Defy Angmar Tapestry Bundle") that were bound to my hobbit mini I'd copied over. (first image below)

Created a new champ and boosted them to 15 via the Eyes 'n Guard Tavern so they could get the Bound to Character Weathertop picture. Hung it on the wall.

Sold house, then went to Vault-keeper in Lalia's Market. Everything was in the Escrow INCLUDING the Bound to Character bundles as well as the "Above Weathertop Painting" bound to my new champ.

As the second image below shows, the capacity of the Escrow was "unavailable" but everything from the small 25 item housing storage was there as well as all of the items that were on hooks.

I just sold a Belfalas house with a full housing storage chest, alongside a few decorations placed up with various binding statuses. The housing storage chest contained a variety of items that were unbound, character-bound and account-bound. I can confirm that all the items I placed in the chest arrived in escrow intact, and their binding status was preserved. The decorations were placed in the main chest, and it even preserved the names and layout of the housing storage chests, which is nice and convenient. Unlike Discord, you can only 'insert' an image here by linking it from a website where it is hosted, NOT from your computer files. I have my own website/domain where I can upload files/images, but others like Galdwin (see above post, lol) use imgur or other image hosting sites.

I already had a classic house on Bullroarer from previous testing. I bought a Belfalas Deluxe Premium house. I had some decorations on my copied character. I placed them and put some items in the shared chest. I then sold it. An alert popped about the Escrow Broker. Since I already had another house, the Broker did not have anything. The writs were directly placed in my personal inventory. The placed items were sent to my shared storage. I do have before and after (for the total number of items) screenshots.

Kinship Escrow Test Results!

+Gingerbread advanced my kinship to max rank so I could purchase a kin house. Thank you!

Bought Highlaw Lane, Bresteg, Lyndelby. Created a new toon on BR with an alt account, boosted her in the Eyes and Guard Tavern, made her an officer and used her to invite my other two main account copied toons that were on BR into the test kinship. So, I now had four kin members, with one on an alt account, to test placing stuff.

Main account:

• Calithil (Kin Leader) put a bunch of unbound and account-bound items on hooks inside and outside the kin house, including 2 unbound fences and 4 BtA mount decorations. Put 5 unbound items into the 30 item Shared Housing Storage. Put 4 unbound items into the 25 item Housing Storage.
• Stout-axe hung her Bound-to-Character Weathertop painting inside kin house.
• Hobbit hung three Bound to Account tapestries inside kin house.

Alt account:

• River-hobbit put 10 account-bound items on hooks in kin house.

SOLD KIN HOUSE!

• Writs appeared in Leader's inventory. Kinship Escrow showed all items put into both chests as well as the unbound items placed on inside/outside hooks by leader!
• All main account-bound items appeared in Personal Housing Storage Escrow, including the Weathertop painting that was Bound to Character!
• River-hobbit's bound-to-alt-account items appeared in her Personal Housing Storage Escrow!

So, for this particular test...it worked!!

On the regular servers: getting stuff from classic housing to move to escrow after abandoning them wasn't the problem.

The problem was the transfer of escrow.
Has that been resolved for both the classic and premium escrow transfers to new servers?

Also, at the moment on Landroval, where I have no old kinships left, only a newly made toon:
her vault options show 'escrow of kinship house'. She was never part of the kinships that transfered.
Is that a sign that there is indeed 'kinship escrow' left on that account on that server?

Compare to kinship leader with kinhouse on Peregrin - the 'escrow of kinship house' is not available in the vault option window.

To be honest I don't remember if everything on my kinships' escrows were accounted for before I transferred from Laurelin to Merry.

I am 90% sure that the unbound items were present, Dol Amroth furniture from the hooks, Minas Tirith shields, etc. plus unbound items from the chests, Nadhin armours, pots, empowerment scrolls, etc. but not 100%.

As the previous poster wrote, I thought it was the transfer of escrow from one server to the other that failed, not the unhooking of the furniture and the move of the chest items from the kinship house to the escrow.

I did test the moving of items to escrow (char- and account bound and unbound from hooked and both full chests) on two different accounts. All items showed up.
Glad if this catches some problems. But as others have said that hasn't been a problem for me so far. Problem was/is the missing kinship escrow for unbound items after the transfer.

In addition to restoring missing items, I'd also ask:

In a scenario where a player has 9,000+ decoration items in escrow as a result of transfers, will any improvements be made to the escrow system for it to be able to process removing high volumes of decorations from housing chests more efficiently?

For example, it currently takes about 16-20 seconds per item to remove each item from the chest into the inventory bags. Multiply that out, and it'll take 10+ years of gaming-time to empty the escrow.

I'd also ask: Would it also be possible for escrow to "stack" multiples of the same item in the same way Housing Carry-All's do? That's part of the volume problem: where, if you have say 100 trees, you have 100 escrow slots taken instead of 2 stacks of 50.

Today I tested housing for Escrow transfers. Purchased 5 houses with the same toon - 1 Shire, 1 Eastfold, 1 Belfalas, 2 Lyndleby. Decorated with furniture and trees for all of them including bound Weathertop paintings. Placed more bound items from Lalia's market in both Small Storage and Shared Housing Storage. Maxed out Shared Storage space as well as 3 out of 5 of the Small Storages. Then sold all houses.

Everything showed up in Escrow storage. I then repurchased 3 houses - 1 Shire, and 2 Lyndleby. Escrow storage items all transferred over to Shared Housing Storage, which was overflowed by 220 items. Nothing showed up in Small Storage - not sure if that is intentional or not, but I did have all items in shared storage so nothing lost.

I was lucky having bound items in my bag, so I had a combination of items bound, bound to account and non bound. I got them all back. Also sent in a ticket . #412301
