My character will not replace anyone. Why would she. Which character in the books could possibly replace her?
Ealendil of Doriath, composer and member of Lindamar, Vanimar, Laurelin
Well my character is a Citadel Guard from Minas Tirith, so I guess he could have welcomed Pippin if Beregond weren't there. But I don't know if he had dared to fight his way through Rath Dínen to save Faramir, so let's be glad he's travelling around Middle-earth instead.
Odd question, and I'm not sure I agree with the word "replace" ...but I might like to be *Shadowfax* with Gandalf, in session play?
“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay; Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien
My dwarf, Burfi, would replace Ori in Tolkien's The Hobbit, by virtue of his writing skills. They are both scribes and they both adore Balin. If your character were in the books, who would they replace?
...it would probably be the minstrel of Gondor who showed up to sing about "Frodo of the Nine Fingers and the Ring of Doom", much to Sam's delight, because really, who wouldn't want to be able to anonymously make people happy?
Well, I suppose you could always say "flame resistant sunglasses" if you prefer that to "shoes"
Farmer Maggot (who tells off a black rider)
Oooh lala!!
A distant cousin of the Brandybucks, who would run in the opposite direction should they see Gandalf.
My character can definitely replace Legolas as she is better looking than him, and is better at killing mobs than him whenever he and i are in same instances
Glorfindel
No one, i rather imagine a whole new role for him.
If your character were in the books, who would they replace?
One of the Hobbits at Bilbo's party. I just want to attend!
Also, I could try and help keep the other Hobbits safe during the Scourging of the Shire.
I'm off to find adventure!!
My character would replace that kid in Helm's Deep with the rusty sword.
My main character would take the place of a traveller, waylaid by brigands along the Great East Road.
<< Co-founder of The Firebrands of Caruja on Landroval >>
Ceolford of Dale, Dorolin, Tordag, Garberend Bellheather, Colfinn Belegorn, Garmo Butterbuckles, Calensarn Nimlos, Langtiriel, Bergteir
Since my character is Lore-master, he could replace Gandalf.
I suppose i would be one of the guards in Haldirs company protecting borders of Lothlorien. I do not want to replace anyone.
The guy who makes the salads.
Benwhalebutler Wrongtrousers
THE ELDAR. Kinship of Evernight
Elrond of course, Wise and powerful like my runekeeper
If your character were in the books, who would they replace?
Hmm, not one of the main characters of course but since my dwarf is from Erebor maybe he would have replaced one of the unnamed dwarfs and been mentioned once during the Council of Elrond like this:
"...but the tale of Glóin was new to him, and when the dwarf spoke he listened attentively.
It appeared that amid the splendour of their works of hand the hearts of the Dwarves of the
Lonely Mountain were troubled, especially the youngest dwarf Kittori seemed unsettled."
Or my Elven loremaster would have replaced one unnamed household member of Elrond's like this:
"Many others of Elrond's household, including the Loremaster Kittriel , stood in the shadows and watched them
go, bidding them farewell with soft voices. There was no laughter, and no
song or music. At last they turned away and faded silently into the dusk."
The Rest of my adventures would be told in other books called:
The Shadows of Angmar
Mines of Moria
Allies of the King
The Strength of Sauron
The Black Book of Mordor
The Legacy of Durin and the Trials of the Dwarves
The Peace of Middle-earth
since those are epic stories worth being told on their own![]()
An unnamed Elf from Lothlroien, singing up on a flet![]()
Legolas or someone else of the elves.
"It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door. You step into the Road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to."
Bilbo Baggins
Boromir
