When there are no festivals going on, I make my own festivals! This week, I've been running the festivals of the North on my main. It consists of making fun of Thranduil whenever I have to go talk to him. Seriously, I can't stand that guy.
Actually, I work on leveling alts, completing quests, and working on deeds as I wait for the next festival.

"What do you do when there aren't any festivals going on?"

Delve deep into the excellent writing of the main and side story lines. I'm amazingly only 1.75 updates behind at this point.

Since I'm about lvl 85 right now that's not much of a question... I'm around Rohan, mostly.

What do you do when there aren't any festivals going on?

Try to catch up on the actual game. I still have 4 level 105+ toons left to get to the new cap.

What do you do when there aren't any festivals going on?

Trying to add all the goldsellers to my ignore list. Usually unsuccessfully.

Questing. I’ve been reading all the quest texts since Mordor, and all the epic stories since somewhere in Moria where you choose whether to exchange Mazog or not. And the Mazog story is one of my favorite stories, which spans Moria and Southern Mirkwood.

When I am not grinding for the festivals I am questing on my toons enjoying the masterfully crafted storyline, and taking tons of in-game screenshots. LOTRO has stunning scenarios created by talented people, you can't simply ignore them.

    Hubble, bubble, toil and trouble....

I plot and feverishly scheme, carefully crafting the NEXT evil-suppervillain, middle-earth domination plan.

Wait a minuite, I also do that when festivals are on...

What do I do when there aren't any festivals going on? Why, the same thing I do when there is a festival going on, of course: Grind my fingers to the bone!
