Itemization
Most of the gear from this expansion can be broken down into the following groups and setup:
Offensive and Defensive sets of all levels and rarities have the same stats respectively, they just have differing values and potency according to their level and rarity.
Levelling & Quest Gear:
Sets labelled
“Invader,” “Conqueror” or “Ancients*” are
offensive levelling sets, which have secondary values of finesse, critical rating and mastery ratings.
Sets labelled
“Expeditionary,” “Pathfinder” or “Fallen Kings*” are
defensive levelling sets, which have secondary values of block/parry/evade, resistance, tactical/physical mitigation and critical defence.
Note: the healing sets for light armour include outgoing healing ratings as well as critical rating.
*Ancients/Fallen Kings substitute as levelling gear as the items from loot-boxes scale to level.
As of Update 23: Where Dragons Dwell, Ancient/Fallen Kings gear has been supplemented with Wayfarer and Travellers gear from Steel-bound Lootboxes
These two groups are then acquired via the same means, drops split up by rarity below:
Uncommon:
- [Expeditionary]/[Invader] pieces come from level 106-110 quests
- [Pathfinder]/[Conqueror] pieces come from level 111-115 quests
Rare:
- [Expeditionary]/[Invader] pieces from Rare Mordor Treasure Chests level*
*These chests give items ranging from level 106-115. - [Fallen Kings]/[Ancients] pieces obtained from Gorgoroth bound Loot-boxes
Incomparable:
- [Expeditionary]/[Invader] pieces from select quests and crafting dungeon drops**
- [Pathfinder]/[Conqueror] pieces from select level 111-115 quests
- [Fallen Kings]/[Ancients] pieces from Gorgoroth bound Loot-boxes at a rare chance
**Due to performance and currency issues brought about by widespread mob farming,
gear drops from monsters are now exclusively contained to the resource dungeons to prevent raid farming.

“Expedition's Vanguard” & "Pathfinder's Artifice" are
offensive instance gear, which have secondary values of finesse, critical rating and mastery ratings.

“Mordor's Bane" & "Vanguard's Bearing” are
defensive instance gear, which have secondary values of block/parry/evade, resistance, tactical/physical mitigation and critical defence.
Note: the healing sets for light armour include outgoing healing ratings as well as critical rating.

Rare Quality Gear:

Incomparable Quality Gear:
- [Pathfinder's Artifice]/[Vanguard's Bearing] Necklace and Pocket can be obtained from Superior Doomfold Jeweller & Scholar recipes respectively
- [Expedition's Vanguard]/[Mordor's Bane] pieces are obtained from completing Tier 1 Court of Seregost & Dungeons of Naerband***

Abyss of Mordath Gear:
Sets labelled
"______ of the Wyrm" are
offensive instance gear, which have secondary values of finesse, critical rating and mastery ratings.
Sets labelled
“______ of the Abyss”^ are
defensive instance gear, which have secondary values of block/parry/evade, resistance, tactical/physical mitigation and critical defence.
^With the Raid gear, there is additionally class-specific sets that whilst have the suffix "Of the Abyss" have their stats depend on the specific class trait-line that are based upon.
For example: 'Archer's _____ of the Abyss' is a Redline Hunter set and contains offensive stats despite having the defensive suffix.
Raid Quality Gear is available from these sources:
Rare Quality Gear:
- [Wyrm]/[Abyss] pieces are obtained from Tier 1 - The Abyss of Mordath Boss Chests
Incomparable Quality Gear:
- [Wyrm]/[Abyss] pieces are obtained from Tier 2 - The Abyss of Mordarth Boss Chests
- ______ of the Abyss class pieces are obtained from Tier 2 - Abyss of Mordarth Chests with the exception of the Helm-slot which is obtained via Abyssal Fragment crafting recipes
***Raid quality-gear is now available for purchase from the various Abyss of Mordath related vendors found at the [Ruins of Dingarth - 48.0S, 8.7E].
HOWEVER class-specific gear can be only be obtained from the vendors at this location once a player has Tier 2 Deed Completion for The Abyss of Mordath raid.
