Riders of Rohan - Housing Items of Hytbold

Hello everyone!

I was lucky enough to be given 100,000 Tokens of Hytbold yesterday during the end of beta blowout. This allowed me to completely rebuild Hytbold, become Thane of Hytbold and Thane of the Eastemnet (there's a couple of instances at the end, I recorded both) and...buy every single housing item there was!

I've placed all the screenshots I've taken of them in a Picasa Web Album that you can view here:

These are as of Beta 6, so there are still some bugs and typos on the items.

Shuttered Windows - they sit perpendicular to the wall instead of flat.
Chandeliers - their chain is so long that the chandelier is below the floor and you can't see them.
Bookcases, credenzas, bureaus - do not sit flat against a wall.

I hope you appreciate this. It took an incredible amount of effort for me.

/cry mode on

1) My inventory was very, very packed so it was hard to get all the items. I had to do a lot of shuffling.
2) My cable modem went down in the middle of when I was taking screenshots. I had to wait 2 hours for the service to come back :-/
3) I had to remember exactly what I did and didn't take pictures of. This took a lot of organization inventory-wise.
4) I stayed up til 4am because I knew this would be the very last chance for me to do this before beta ended.

Great work! Glad to see so many new housing items. Looks like they'll be a nice addition to Bree-land style of housing which isn't too surprising though.

I really like the different tapestries and fancy chairs. One of the casks is just HUGE, nice for a kinhouse maybe That mini-keg is rather cute.

Any chance you took a shot of the various pages of the barter so we know which ones are gated by which deeds?

(The items themselves are not bound, but you have to finish deeds to be able to barter for them.)

Yeah when I placed the large keg in the corner I had a fellow beta tester with me and we just laughed at how big it was.

I really intended to do that but I just ran out of time. I had to be up in 4 hours :-/

I MIGHT have screenshots of each barter page from a previous build. I don't remember if I took them or not. Probably not though :-/

I do have the tooltips for each item, though. So we'll know the size/hook they go into.

I did, and it's listed on Rinwald's wiki page. I'm still making the individual item pages.

One question... Do the kegs give a drink if you click on them and if so are they enough that you get tipsy? I have a personal kinhouse for a kin named "Rohirrim" and I'm decorating it to have a Rohan look / feel. In the kinhouse I have Inn League kegs but they are pure decoration and can't be clicked on annd I also have kegs that you can get a drink out of but you can sit and drink forever and not get drunk.

I'd love it if those huge kegs were both clickable and drunk'n'disorderlyable as a good keg of Rohan mead should be.

At the end of beta, All of the objects, even ones which clearly weren't intended to be interact-able, were set to interact-able. They didn't do anything if you interacted with them. We wont know what if anything they have in the way of interactions until they're acquired on #live

I agree, and this is how I suggest it is worked out.
1. You Must become Thane of Hytbold
2. If you do, when Edoras comes online, ONLY those who have Thane Status will be able to Purchase a New House, Bigger, with more hooks than the Normal Housing. And more Storage!

I Feel that as a Thane, you would have a Nice Manor House in the Vicinity of Edoras!

I agree. It also prevents someone with a non-played account to hoard housing. This method would make sure to reward those who really do spend a lot of time in the game and like to complete things.

Those are the customers you want to keep and please.
