    Update 18 Beta #2 Release Notes & Known Issues - PRELIMINARY AND NON-FINAL - BULLROARER ONLY

    Please join us this weekend to preview another Update 18 build. We welcome your feedback!
    The following release notes are for the Bullroarer public test server only and may not reflect the final list of changes or updates included at release.

    These notes are not final and should be viewed as a work in progress and subject to change.

    The Eyes and Guard Tavern is open!
    Known Issues:
    1. The Silent Street Instance quests are broken in this build. You can still run The Silent Street, you will just lack quest guidance. These instructions may aid you: "Search for Beregond in Rath Dínen". "Confront and defeat the Withered Tree". "Defeat the risen Kings and Stewards of Gondor". "You must defeat the Gloom of Nurn before he can claim the crown of the King for Gothmog." Challenge: "You must return Earnil and Mardil to rest swiftly while battling the Gloom of Nurn."
    2. Jarl Dauthar in Blood of the Black Serpent does not reset properly if your group is defeated. Additionally, the final drama for both The Silent Street and Blood of the Black Serpent are incomplete.
    3. The Epic book quests for this update will not be available during this open beta session.
    4. The new Battle of the Pelennor Fields instances and Featured Instance system do not yet have their rewards hooked up.
    5. German and French localization has not been completed for U18 content and features.
    6. Resource nodes have not yet been placed in Far Anórien.
    7. Rune-Keeper Flurry of Words animation while moving looks silly at the moment.


    Important Note: Please be aware that the build you are seeing here is a work in progress and is by no means the finished Update 18 product. There are items that are not yet complete. There may also be items missing from this initial list, this is not intentional and will be added as we progress.

    Release Notes:
    • Eyes & Guard Tavern: Bobo now offers his landscape content trait point quest to every class.
    • Eyes & Guard Tavern: Level 100 first age legendary items are now available from Tybur for gift-giver's brands.
    • All housing neighbourhoods now contain Task boards. You can accept and complete every task at these boards.
    • Minas Tirith - Teleport travel horses have been removed.
    • Beacon Hills houndkeepers and falconers now have their animals by their sides.
    • Willem Whisker is now the correct size during 'Enter the Easterlings' and 'Bingo's Burden.'
    • Landroval is now his appropriately majestic size during 'Enter the Easterlings.'
    • A new Elf has come to Thangulhad, and he has some more readily-accessible advice for 'Second Breakfast.'
    • Anfalas Poison, Disease, Fear, and Wound draughts are now usable on effects up to level 110.
    • Champions specializing in The Martial Champion can now block with a 2-handed weapon.
    • Wardens specializing in Recklessness receive -50% outgoing healing.
    • Warden Light damage over time effects have had their magnitude decreased from level 92+.
    • Guardian's Insult to Injury now grants 3% increased proc chance per rank.
    • Guardian's Pledge has been reduced to grant +20% to each avoidance.
    • Some set bonuses have been changed since our last beta build:
    Warden:
    The Featured instance 4-set doesn't stack with the Revered Warden's Earring.
    Rune-Keeper:
    Flurry of Words can be used while moving.
    The Featured Instance 4-set bonus gives -40% Induction length on Chill of Winter skills.
    Lore-Master:
    The Featured Instance 4-set bonus is now +5s Water-lore buff duration.
    Captain:
    The Featured Instance 4-set bonus is now +5s To Arms Duration

    I don't see in the patch notes where warden dmg got nerfed. I see the heals part, but the heals have never really been the problem tbh.

    and yet they'll still be probably the strongest class in the game. warden damage is absolutely ridiculous in any line. (idk yellow so maybe not any line). NS still works fine in red. Wardens STILL get more mastery than they should because the 'grace period' for might giving mastery ended up being extended to several years. guess we'll just see even more blue line wardens come u18

    Wow, a nerf to Wardens, and can someone please explain the Guardian insult to injury change?

    Also, 50% outgoing healing on Wardens- does that affect self heals or only Conviction?

    Also, the +5s WL buff duration, why? I appreciate the set bonus, even though we don't need it, but 5s is only one more tick, why not 4s?

    Affects all outgoing Heal (even NS), with the same Gear i do around 30% less Damage than before (Dot).
    So when we had two DPS Kings before (RK and Warden) RKs no reign supreme
    Guess in 2 months the RK bashing begins? ^^

    Thanks for the help, seems a little silly on the NS change, but I'm relieved that something is finally being done about it. Kudos to Turbine for making this change. Now if we can only fix Guardian self-healing as well. Some ideas for small adjustments for other classes, PvE or PvP only:


    Freep:


    Beornings: Increase Cooldown of Hearten/Composure from 14 seconds to 18 seconds
    Burglar: Double cooldown of Provoke from 5s to 10s
    Champion: Remove slow from Duel OR reduce the slow AND remove target damage nerf portion
    Guardian: Reduce Prey on the Weak healing by 50%
    Hunter: Re-introduce agile rejoinder, or buff Cry of the Hunter
    Loremaster: Make Fire Shield Damage mitigated, or halve its reflect- the reflect is useless in a PvE environment, but is incredibly silly in PvP
    Minstrel: Reduce the 2nd heal on BC in blue line to be 33-50% of what it is now.
    Rune-Keeper: Make Armor of Storm not reflect off Bleeds, OR, if this is not possible, reduce duration to 10 seconds

    Creep:
    Defiler: Give a damage stance with significant nerf to healing (60%, perhaps), and a 5-10% damage boost. While in heal stance, damage skills should have their effectiveness reduced by 75%. Put a 60s cooldown on switching stances, and useable only out of combat.
    Reaver: Make Wrath a mastery-based heal or halve its percent return
    Spider: Nerf damage across the border by 20%
    Warg: Give internal 7s cooldown on all interrupts. For example, Eye Gouge/Pounce can only interrupt once every seven seconds, ignoring skill cooldowns.
    Warleader: Give an additional damaging skill.

    Also, the reduction of Guardian Insult to Injury reduces AoE Prey on the Weak healing, correct?

    30% less damage and also less healing and now you take more hits because you can't avoid them? Hey developers, have you actually even bothered to test all of this before just cowing to anti-warden trolls? I seriously doubt it. Once again, you have gone too far. You obviously didn't read my posts. Warden is one of the only tanking classes worth a damn in this game. It is also paid for content and you once again go too far and nurf it from the complaints of free DPS class players? What the hell? You are trying to please people who don't even play the warden but only play free DPS characters and then complain about paid for content? Did you just forget your brains today?

    You need to rethink this and stop the damn nurfs to your paid for content solely because the complaints from your free DPS class players. Wardens are one of the most needed classes for people to play for the multiplayer content you are trying to sell. And your bright idea is to nurf them so people don't play them and instead spam chat for 30 minuets looking for a warden and instead give up on running that 12 man raid you are now trying to sell. Do you think at all before you do things because I am starting to wonder now?

    The swift horses to each level were the best thing ever... going to miss those on my low-level alts in Minas Tirith.

    Hoping for some improvements to the hunter in u18.

    Actually I realized l misread the note. There's no mention of PotW but one of Insult to Injury.

    I thought that PoTW mass AoE healing stemmed from the use of Insult to Injury on multiple targets. Don't play guardian, so I'll let you do the checking ;P

    let me ask you this have you ever spoken to the average creep? in game or irl guess what i have. a lot in fact read creep ooc its hate rage and most of it is gibberish they cant even speak let alone operate a class. an average day in lotro for me is receiving hate mail and tells from creeps for simply playing better than them, macro warden this exploiter that fight clubber this. im sick of it the last creep i spoke to in tells accused me of being a child pornographer. the last time i afked in the ettenmoors i got an infraction from a gm for absolutely nothing this is 99% percent of creeps out there i can think of maybe 1-30 at most good creeps per server you want to know why? 2 reasons creepside is less played due to no pve aspect which is understandable it is after all a pve lotr game but, the second is ALL THE GOOD CREEPS FROM 2008 TO 2013 HAVE QUIT because of this kind of #### right here non sense liars and bs. for the love your gms spend more time giving innocent people infractions for nothing than banning fightclubbers/actual exploiters/harrassers etc for the love not gonna say his name but there is a guy on laurelin right now that has 10+ fced r15s and your not gonna do anything about that? seriously? a burg i know too, had to quit. thats right. because he for someone he killed in the ettenmoors almost 1 year ago to this day has sent him rage mail and he got sick of it and quit. have you done anything about that? no you havent.

    if you have any posterity or respect for yourselves or your players stop listening to trogs listen to your veterans and fix this game. im done.

    The removal of the Teleport travel horses for Minas Tirith is going to utterly destroy Minas Tirith as an end game hub.

    People are going to only use Minas Tirith for questing and then they will use Aldburg/Snowborn/Dol Amroth for their congregating/idling spot as well as Crafting, Guilds, Skirm Camp, etc... Minas Tirith was already a very tough sell as an end game hub because absolutely nothing is centralized and is all spread to the winds. There is no central crafting hall that has the Guilds, every Crafting Facility, Forge/Relic Master, Vault and Auction Hall. This is also going to hurt people enjoying the MANY great location in Minas Tirith when we have to pay a stable horse to go 2 tiers up so we can get to some Pub or Hall we want to do some RPing in.
