    New Crafting Tier?

So are we ever going to get a new crafting tier?
Rank 10 Hunter, Rank 9 Warleader, Rank 9 Weaver, Rank 7 Reaver, Rank 6 Guardian, Rank 6 Warg, Rank 5 Lore-master, Rank 5 Blackarrow, Rank 4 Champion, Rank 3 Reaver, Rank 2 Rune-keeper, just to name a few.

Personally, I would prefer they fleshed out our existing crafting tier--we have very little in the way of level 100 crafting recipes--before they give us a "new" crafting tier.
Either way, I'm not holding my breath.

Oh but let there be a cap raise soon! And utility to crafting so there's a market! Decorative designs! Rep recipes! Guild tiers! Guild essence recipes bettering the landscape stuff! Craftable deco and housing update fitted with the area theme and more floral arrangement and perhaps a spot of landscape architecture rift-style and extremely rare deco rewards! New dyes, fresh hope tokens, great buff scrolls and pots of all kinds! Hatch-your-own-chicken pets or...anything, really, just bring it on! Incentive to log several hundred hours! YES!

Is it a year and a half of DA now? Crazy.

Do we really need a level cap increase to be able to craft level 100 items?

I can imagine a few answers to that question, but lets hear?

No, we don't. Considering, to my knowledge, there are no level 100 crafting recipes it makes no sense to raise the level cap. Just add a new tier of crafting and leave the cap where it is.

    Yep, my impression as well.

Thing is it will only have a scope of 5 levels, and the other tiers have larger scopes (mostly 10 levels), so maybe that could be part of a reason for a level cap increase, but not by itself.

We don't know yet when there will be a new Crafting Tier, and this has been asked many times, even i made a thread asking.

    Oh please let this happen!

I don't see why we'd need a level cap increase when we've already out-leveled the Westemnet tier.

Also, it just looks a bit - odd - to have Eorlingas ore and hides throughout Gondor. Shouldn't they be Gondorian? A Gondorian tier would catch crafting up with us.

It's a bit late for it now. Yet another increment to already bloated stats and yet another batch of yet another essence slot to make the inflated numbers even greater. I don't see any incentive to log on for that.

Sideways progression mush when we just got imbues - the sole purpose of those was to make it less of a grind after cap increase. Instead of a simplified system we have an additional system and one which increased the grind to max tenfold. Again, increased grind is OK because it was supplosed to ease the passage into new level cap. I want incentive to log on and play a few hours of end game content. I'm not doing so now. It clearly is the end, and an uninspired one. Housing is off the list of stuff to be done, crafting too, cap increase went away and we can hope for another rep grind and another skin for lv 100 LIs so we can make new imbues again. Bah.

I completely agree with you about grinds. The level 100 grind is the worst - you can't even get level 100 instance gear for all slots anymore, you have to grind for the DA stuff - grind for gear, grind for essences and you aren't even guaranteed to get the essences you really need. I want crafting alternatives to grinding for slotted armor and jewelry - you can't even get two of the same kind of jewelry item anyway. I'd even be happy with more essences recipes at this point. And I really want level 100 shields. What's the point of increasing player levels to 100 if everything else doesn't keep pace with them? Every other level gain we've had included same level gear, both from instances and crafted. Maybe you're right and it is too late at this point, but the level 100 cap just seems so .. half done to me.

    umm, how can you not?

5 slot essence armor from Osgilliath instances
7 slot jewelry items from epic battle instances
Necklace and Bracelets essence jewelry from Osgilliath instances
Ring Essence Jewerly from Epic battle instances
Off-hands and shields from classic scaled instances

Only thing missing are the crafting class slot items.

    a) lvl 100 Legendary Items are crafted in the Westemnet crafting tier.
    b) Morale/Power potion recipes.
    c) Essence recipes.
Just add a new tier of crafting and leave the cap where it is.
So, ignoring the aforementioned lvl 100 recipes, you're also ignoring all the previous expansions to Crafting.

    RoI: Level Cap - 75 (+10); Max Crafting - Westfold (Tier 7)
    RoR: Level Cap - 85 (+10); Max Crafting - Eastemnet (Tier 8)
    HD: Level Cap - 95 (+10); Max Crafting - Westemnet (Tier 9)
    Gondor: Level Cap - 100 (+5); Max Crafting - Westemnet (Tier 9)

I wouldn't expect a new crafting tier in the next 2 updates, will be interesting to see what recipes are added though. After that its possible a new tier could be added, and if so that could well last until the end of the game.

We don't need a new crafting tier till we go to level 105 or 110, and since we aren't doing expansions anymore, I suspect that will be rolled out with updates in 2016.

What I WOULD like to see however, is level 100 crafting from "special recipes" such as the horse lords recipes from Rohan at level 85. They will be rare, and have the potential to "crit" to a gold level item. Could be shields, off-hand weapons, and also jewelry and armor. A "gold critted" jewelry item could be a 2-slot essence item, just like the gold ring you can get now, and a "gold critted" armor item could be one with 5 slots, comparable to the osgiliath instance armor, just with a slightly higher armor rate and slightly higher base stats.

Can we just get some level 100 recipes? Without rep-gate/barter preferred.

Same here...or the option to craft a level 100 shield, scrolls, pocket items, food, off-hand weapons...sigh

I find it interesting you left out my preference: 'to my knowledge'. Okay, so there are 100 level recipes, according to you. However, I am not ignoring the previous crafting expansions. I am simply dead set against more levels. Where does it stop? As I mentioned in another post, perhaps Turbine should simply raise the level cap to 999 and get it over with.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is my personal opinion.

Stacking rare drop recipes into instances would be a very good start, as we had for RoI and Rohan.

Are you disputing whether Anfalas Athelas Essence (x25) Recipe exists?

Not according to HaleElven only, according to the Wiki as well. Easy to check, in my opinion.

So Westemnet goes beyound 95? Because all the Anfalas are 100. Seems like Jeweler and Scholar has level 100 items. https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Ite...pe_(Level_100)

Amazing how you all bread down and argue over symantics instead of the point that crafting has been majorly neglected.

When Western Gondor was released we asked in beta where is the new crafting for level 100... we were told Oh we didnt get them in in time they should be coming in the next update or 2

Well those updates came and went and then central gondor was released

We asked/// where are the new crafting recipes for shields offhands ect.?

We were told Oh sorry we did not have time they will come in a future update

Than the mini update (15.1 iirc) hit and we asked again (in beta) and were met with silence

The silence from Turbine continued on into

    15.2
    16
    16.1
    16.2
    16.3

So in total as of right now we are looking at 9-10 game updates with NO MAJOR CRAFTING UPDATE... and to run salt in the would.. they changed the output of a scholar recipe (Rust) to not crit into black dye.. taking away (or course its funny that black dye happens to be at Lailas market for Mithril coins)

So to me, crafting has become another forgotten part of this game. Especially with imbued LIs

We need new Offhand, shield,, pocket, jewlery (other than BB and instance) armor, cloaks, and for god sake a kevel 100 morale essence recipe
