Mirkwood Pricing Plan
In the announcement - it is stated that those who subscribe to a multi-month plan will get Mirkwood for free:
"Any current or former player who renews or upgrades their subscription to any multi-month plan by October 31st gets the Siege of Mirkwood digital expansion for FREE!"
My question is this: if we are already on a multi-month plan (I'm on the 3 month plan), but it won't come up for renewal before October 31st, will we still get it for free?

Re: Mirkwood Pricing Plan
I'm guessing that if you added a multi-month plan that it would be tacked on to your current plan. So, if you're in the three month now, another 3, 6, or 12 months (whichever you decide) would be added on at the end of the current cycle.

Re: Mirkwood Pricing Plan
If you already subscribe via a multi-month plan you're all set. Just keep your plan active through the launch of Mirkwood and it's free!

OK-- I am confused-- I have three lifetime accounts-- do I need to buy the expansion or am I penalized for not having a monthly plan?

From what I saw you get the SoM expac for free if you spend the $19.99 on the special items

Re: Mirkwood Pricing Plan
Basically these plans are designed to have every pay $20.
Multi-month accounts or upgrading to lifetime account: Free expansion - $20 for adventure pack.
Life time: Free expansion with $20 adventure pack.
basically: the lifetimers now have no choice: We pay $20 and get both. People upgrading can decide if they want the adventure pack or not as they will get the expansion for free.

However those who pay monthly or use game cards will have to pay $40!? It must be a great feeling to be one of those right now....

Weird marketing for perceived choice
Here's what I wrote:
Are you TRYING to make this confusing? Do we really have any choice here?
Are you selling a digital expansion, or an "Adventurer's Pack" or both?
Your announcement seems to indicate the following:
Lifetime subscribers have two options:
1. Pre-order the Adventurer's pack for $19.99 and get SoM free.
2. Purchase SoM for $19.99 and not get the Adventurer's Pack.
Monthly subscribers have these options:
1. Upgrade from a monthly subscription to a multi-month subscription (3, 6, or 12) and receive SoM free.
2. Upgrade from a monthly subscription to a multi-month subscription (3, 6, or 12), receive SoM free, and purchase the Adventurer's Pack for $19.99.
3. Keep your current subscription and purchase SoM for $19.99.
4. Keep your current subscription and purchase SoM and the Adventurer's Pack for $39.98.
I'm not clear on what options current multi-month subscribers have.
Is the goal here to present the illusion of choice? Why this complexity? Is any lifetime player going to choose anything besides option one? Is any non-lifer (besides the game-card players) actually going to choose anything other then option one or two?
Why not just offer everyone SoM with the extra slots and storage for $19.99? The fact that this "mini" expansion is being sold when we've gotten no free content since the last expansion that wasn't originally planned/promised for the expansion is enough to raise eyebrows. Why further complicate things? And why force those who must subscribe monthly to pay double?
This seems like very strange marketing to me.

Re: Mirkwood Pricing Plan
On the myaccount site, it lists two options: $199 lifetime and $199 lifetime. I already have a lifetime sub. This looks like it's going to charge me again. Clarify?

Further up the page it says not to worry about this that you would not be charged.
