I picked up a copy just for old-time's sake, mainly just for the extras, I probably won't activate it. However it's a good deal if you want to get a friend into the game, as it comes with a month of game time.

The "+1 Hope" jewel is nice for boss battles, and I don't think the soundtrack is freely offered from Turbine anymore ... so those 2 things make this a worthwhile investment of $4 USD!

I almost bought it for $19.99 at the local game shop because I really want a hard copy of the SoA soundtrack (I have the MoM soundtrack already), but thought better of it. But I won't pass up $3.99, so I jumped over and bought it. Thanks for the heads-up.

Man, that would have been an awesome deal.

However, since I own this edition, it gives you a bunch of buddy codes. But you can't apply them to your own account either.
