Summer Festival Horse: How to win?

I recall Patience saying back in the spring that the race was just too buggy and too difficult to fix so they were just going to scrap it altogether and come up with a new way to acquire the horse. Did they? If so, how do you get it now?

Looks like you just do enough stuff to get 50 of the summer tokens, then barter for the horse token with a trader.

I liked the races. That is quite unfortunate.

Man I sure hope so. Part of me was a little concerned that the horse was just plain ol' out along with the race. Patience, Sapience, any comment on this?

I like the new races too - and if you pick the right little piggy (Hobbit) or lush (dwarf) you win 12 tokens - it looks like you get to do 4 races every 2 hours and just over 4 wins gets enough for a horse.

Not bad and best of all:

NO LINES

Kinda like the horseraces only we're not the jockeys this time

I'll take Otto in the 3rd to win

Re: Summer Festival Horse: How to win?

I checked out the horse vendor and it looks like it requires the horse token, bought for fifty festival tokens, plus nine festival tokens.

Sadly, I only found the summer fest horse available. I was really hoping that this year at least we would get our choice between the spring or summer mount, seeing as we were cheated out of getting the spring mount due to a game bug. And naturally I like the spring mount best of all. *sigh*

Re: Summer Festival Horse: How to win?

It seems to have slipped my mind, how long do the festivals run? Hopefully more than a week?

Here's a screen shot of the tokens needed and of the horse.

Who do you barter the 50 festival tokens for the horse token? The main festival token vendor by the fishing area in Bywater didn't list it. I even checked with characters over 35, since the race itself eventually was limited to levels high enough to actually ride the horse.

Anyone seen which vendor carries the horse token?

The Race Master in the Party Field has the horse token at the bottom of the list. The Race Master(who runs the drunken dwarf keg run) in Thorin's also has it.

Well who'd a thunk .. that that keg and pie race vendors would have the horse token? I more or less expected it to be on the horse race starter, but not to be.

Anyway, thanks for the info, much appreciated!

50 tokens for the horse tokens and 6 more for the final trade in. Need tokens? Try fishing, I got 29 tokens in one day just from fishing!!
