Thread: Loremaster Non-Combat Pet thread

Looks like these soon will be purchasable through the LOTRO Store.

Has anyone gotten a Tome from the Goblin King (Goblin that sits on the throne with a Warg companion?) anytime in recent past? I have killed him between 7-10 times and not seen one drop. I have had mostly Minstrel items (Moor Cowbell, Guide to Moor Cowbell, Blank Sribeing page, Mentor Drum, etc drops) but no Tomes. Do I just have really bad luck, or has the drop changed again? Thanks in advance for the input.

The quest is given by any lm-trainer as soon as you finish volume 1, book 2.

don't know if this has been mentioned before but i found an area in angmar which i have been going back to since where i got 4/5 of the animal things from (fox,dog,frog and some thing else :/) it was the himbar area the little town with all the human mobs and trolls wandering round there is a cargul with 4/5 guys in front of him, i spent about a hour just doing a small area around him. Just killing him and the 20+ bad guys and trolls i got a load of rep stuff (roughly 100 of each one) but the cargul is the main point of intrest he seems to drop them plus other purple named stuff (weapons, armour and pocket items) most seems a bit poor if you have crafted stuff.
Also got a few mini. mentoring sheets too, but yeah over all spent about 4 hours there and got alot of rep stuff and the mini/l.m stuff both of which is usefull and fetches a pretty penny in the a.h
I'll update with exact area next time i go back or if any of you are on gilrain i'd be happy to send you any spare l.m stuff i get

How do you release your non-combatant pets? because once i summon mine the only way i can get it to go away is to die in the game or log off the character. Is it because i did not complete the friend of the wild quest?

In chat box you write command "/pet release" (without quotation marks) . Not really the most convenient way, but I hope they will change it.

You can also click on your pet, its name will be then in rectangular (like here bookshelves - go on bottom of that page) . Right-click on this rectangular and then you will see options for you pet (change of name, release).

can we have different color pets & colors that don't blend in with the background, right now, i could hardly see my cat or rabbit, they seem to disappear in the background

& can you make them stand in front & to the either side of my character so i could always look at them, better to make them run side by side me as well so i don't have to run backward just to see them move

don't know if the issue is lag but i'm thinking by now, the lag would have been resolved & the pet system could be developed further

just like some1 had mentioned in an earlier post, it would be great to call both combat & non combat pets at the same just like wow, it would be greater if i could call 3 combat pets
