How To
It works the similar to the Milestones you use to set your Map Home site. Just right click on the camp site fire to bind to it. Primary difference is that you can bring your fellowship with. Also, this skill costs a little more (currently three travelling rations). Once you have a camp site bound, just activate your Return to Camp skill to get back there.

Camp Sites vs. Campfires
There are many campfires around which cooks can use for making food, but only the fires at camp sites work for our Return to Camp skill.

Notes
Feel free to offer any other corrections/additions. The coordinates originally came from the linked Lorebook page or other posters in this thread. I've verifying most of the ;locs myself. The location descriptions pretty much all come from threads here in the forums. So take them for what you paid for them..

EDIT 3: Added several new sites (Ered Luin, Shire, Bree-land, Lone-lands, Trollshaws, Evendim)

Updated the original post - started verifying ;locs. The bold ;loc(s) are ones I've verified. So far I've only checked the GA one (that's where I'm currently bound).

NPC's name at the camp in Trollshaws is Calenthon in Nan Tornaeth

its "Garth Agarwen" and "Angmar"

Not sure on the ;loc, but there is one at the Ranger camp in The Rift of Nurz Ghashu, which is coming with book 11.

Thanks a bunch for putting this together. When I first got Return to Camp, I was pretty confused by how it worked, and came here looking for answers and camp site locations, only to have to drill down many pages to find what I was looking for.

I'd love to see this stickied, but I won't hold my breath.

Cool, I've read elsewhere that Nurz Ghashu is in NE Angmar. Is that correct?

Everytime someone gives me coords in answer to a "where is" question, I fiddle with the map and get nowhere with the info. When I do a ;loc ingame I get this long string of nonsense that I can't do anything with. How are you supposed to use coords when they are given?

Typing ;loc in the chat box, should get you a response like:

32.2S, 31.4W

(btw, it's recomended that you to this in a tell to yourself so you don't spam everyone in the area w/ your loc: /t Tradesman ;loc)

So if you're in the LoneLands looking for the Garth Agarwen campsite (28.0s 25.2w), you know you need to go N since 32.2S > 28.0S and E since 31.4W > 25.2W.

Thanks for sorting that out. I'll try it again, but was sure I was typing ;loc and would get the long string of text that made no sense.

Make sure you're using ;loc and not /loc. I've heard other people having trouble w/ this including a kin-mate of mine - we were telling him what to do over voice, and he couldn't get it to work for some reason - but I've never actually seen it not work myself.

I can confirm the loc in North downs is 12.4s 38.4w

Hmmm I might take some time to visit them all just to screenie the campsite locations for fun :]
But the URU/CD ones would be troublesome since most hunters switched to Rift myself being one of them....

Is there a raid instance in the High Pass? I haven't ventured there much since getting to 50 and semi-retiring my Hunter so don't know. It seems like campfires are put close to raid instances and with the Bitter Stairs campfire so close they may not put one there.

Campsites aren't just for raids, there's a camp in Dol Dinen for instance, and that'a not even an instance.

As far as I've seen, there isn't one for Goblin Town. The only one in the Misty Mountains is at the base of the Bitter Stair (Helegrod).


And Carn Dum's location is 11.4N, 33.7W.

OK, I came accross one over the weekend. It was the Gorothlad Camp just south of Nan Gurth in Angmar. Loc was 4.1n, 21.7w. I assume that's one of the ones listed above, but I don't know which. Can someone clear that up for me?

I had a problem with that too but if you just target yourself loc works fine. Also because I use loc so much I made a hotkey for it like this...

/shortcut ;loc 13

Now all I need to do is hit Ctrl 1 to get loc, I cant remember but I think I then named the box so I wouldn't put food or something else in it. Hope that helps.
