Anyone know what faction has a jewelery recipie that you can wear? I know that in Throin Hall you can get a recipie for metalsmith anvil and some tailor recipies for captian pets. Just looking for something to craft for jewelery and not the rep points items.

None that I have seen so Far, I know Thorins Hall has 3 Armaments for Tailor and the Metalsmith Repair Anvil. The Wardens of Annuminas has a Weaponsmith Repair Anvil ( so I hear but have not confirmed personally ), and that's all I know so far.
Just an FYI on the Scholar stuff. The of mysteries most profound only requires one per turn in (not 5). You get 700 points per turn in. (1200 on the first turn in)
The study of unknown ones you have correct with 5 per turn in. You get 500 points per turn in (900 on the first one)

Still trying to find out where you get the Teir 5 Jewellery recipie. I know there is one that uses Moonstones but I have not found that and also I am told there is the Dwarf Necklass one but I can not find it or any info on it.

The two recipes below come from Thorins but they are just reputation items and not items you can wear. You may need to get higher reputation with the to recieve the recipes though. THat's often the case with the Tier 5 and Tier 5, Rare Recipes. The Rare just means that it uses a *Rare* Component even though most of those rare components aren't really rare, more uncommon.
Does anyone know where the heck we are supposed to get the recipe for use with black ash heartwood and the spider silk. I can see we have the titles of the recipes, but where do u get the forrestry recipes? Which rep area?
I got that DANEGAR but when I look in the merchant it does not even show that you can buy them later on. Like the patch note said there is a new rep crafting item the dwarf necklass. Will it not show stuff in the merchant till I get to a higher rep? Or can someone that is Friend or Kin with dwarfs let me know? I dont want to grind the faction for no reason. :0 Thanks

The two recipes Danegar mentioned are for reputation only items. You don't buy the recipes, you get given them when you accept the quest to provide the questgiver with the created item. So you won't find them on any "shop".
If a higher reputation then you currently have is required to be eligible to be offered the quest, then grinding to reach that point will simply mean you have an additional means to make more reputation points. The items created by those recipes are not usable in and of themselves.
One last thing, I have seen elsewhere on the forums something about the polished moonstone recipe/quest being removed because it was bugged and giving xp every time it was done. If this is true (and I have no idea if it is or was) then it is probable they also pulled the necklace one as it would be impossible to complete without the moonstone.

All these recipes are there already, and just need to be categorized. See Scholar's Writ for how to do that.
I'll take that into consideration, however not everyone uses the lorebook or has time to decipher the mess that is the lorebook, I'd much rather see the information held here as well.
I'm a level 50 Historian at GM Scholar. When I approached the Elf crafting rep NPC, he had the expected T4 Scholar quest waiting for me.
As a Historian, I'm also a Weaponsmith. I've only mastered T2 (working T3 mastery now) and I just started T4 proficiency. Since the first rep quest is for tier 4, I expected the Evendim crafting rep NPC to also give me a quest, but instead I got nada.
So does this mean that
1) Each rep is for a specific vocation and not a profession that may be common to multiple vocations? In my case, getting Weaponsmith from Historian is incompatible with the Evendim crafting rep (which actually requires Armsman)?
or
2) You need a specific level of proficiency/mastery in the given profession before you can receive the quests? If so, what's that level?
You have to complete your last crafting quest (unlock tier 5) to open up the rep crafting quest. I just did the last weaponcrafter quest, and now the Evendim quest has opened up for me. Good exp for my lvl 36 Historian if nothing else.

That is true for the weaponcrafter quest but not for the woodworker. Have both the Wood Figurine and the Viol (Tier 5) recipes, have reached Friend status and the Bree-Spear recipe is not available

I was speaking of the first (tier 4) recipe in Evendim. It was not available until I completed my tier 4 (the last) crafting quest for weaponsmith. Bree-spear is not currently in game as far as I can tell (my main is also a WW with friend status).

Thanks for the updates, changes have been made. Hoping for more confirmation on the Prospector and Forester Recipe locations and requirements ( if they are in ) and for a Sticky.
Might help if all you folks partaking of the thread also rate it, that may help them in getting it stickied.

Thanks, Ged. That answers my question. Since I just started T4 prof, I don't have the final quests for T5 access. I think the first page of this FAQ should be updated to indicate that the requirements are not only level but also crafting tier (i.e. you need to be in at least tier 5 proficiency -- which implies all quests were completed).

That's mostly true for any recipe, most all of them require you to be proficient in that tier, for instance a Forged Dwarf Craft Axe recipe requires you to have Expert Proficiency, so in order to be proficient in Expert Weaponsmithing you must get the 440 initial XP and then complete the crafting quest for Tier 4, once you do that you are an Expert Weaponsmith.
I will update the first page to mention it though.
Went through the lorebook and added all the reputation recipes to the Reputation Recipe Category and linked all the recipes here to their Lorebook entries as well.
All Recipes now have the ingredients needed, though the Gossamer Thread, Treated Black Ash Heartwood, and Ancient Nickel Recipe acquisition locations are still a mystery.
* Ingredient recipes used to process items for some reputation recipes were not available in game, preventing players from executing these recipes. The missing reputation ingredient recipes are now auto-granted to the Jeweller (1 recipe), Prospector (1 recipe), and Forester (2 recipes) professions.
* Crafting (Tailor): Players can now purchase "Spool of Elven-thread" from Expert Tailor vendors.
From the dev post for the 19th patch notes. So at least we'll have those.
ok, its not mentioned much but seems to be very important to me...what good is all this rep going to do unless you GET something out of it? being a jeweller i decided to pursue the dwarves faction since i could craft to gain rep. ok done, got acquaintence...cool. so now i have superior workbench access in the blue garrison, nice, but not "great" reward for the mst part. then i checked out the "recipes" and rewards the vendor inside the garrison has and i was VERY disappointed by what they had to offer...all the items pretty much stink if youre anywhere in your 40's especially if you're 50. the only decent thing was the metalsmith recipe that allws you to repair in the field rather than at a vendor in town. but its metalmsith??? so there's no jeweller recipes that we can USE (even a repair thing would be nice...although what would be really cool is a recipe that allows to you SALVAGE jewelry...ie, melt down a piece and get at least something back, be it a gold ingot, etc...cuz non-crits pretty much dont sell for squat and it'd be nice). but am i the only one who wants to see some visible results to the rep stuff? maybe each area should give you access to legendary scrolls that add the addition 5 or 10% beyond the regular scrolls, but only purchasable when u turn in rep stuff, etc. all this rep stuff seems like an afterthought to me...does anyone know if any of the other rep areas give a jeweller recipe that we can make use of (not rep crafting stuff)? for my part i've provided that metalsmiths get a decent recipe in the dwarves area
thanks!!

Well, finally figured out what to do with those moonstones (Dwarf faction ingredient for necklaces)..But, still can not find out what to do with all these nickel ingots.
Have travelled to all the factions (except North Downs) and no one wants them. If anyone figures out waht to do with all these ingots please post.
According to the Patch Notes, the previously missing recipes are now in the game coming from their appropriate factions ( Polished Moonstone from Thorins, Gossamer Thread from the Rangers of Esteldin, etc. ) so I updated the list. Not sure if Wardens AND Council of the North both give Ancient Nickel or not, if someone could confirm I would be thrilled
I can smelt the nickle now, but havent been back to Gath Forthnir (sp) to see if there is a new metalsmith recipe, like the Bree spear for woodworkers. that is finally in game. dont have a weaponsmith so no clue as to Wardens.

So you didn't have to go anywhere to get the Ancient Nickel Recipe, you just already knew it?
