Re: Post Your Guardian!
Not sure how it worked out on other servers but I managed to be one of the first GM's on Vilya. Back in the days where resources were cheap because there was a limited market. Stack of DI for 500-S (now twice that on a good day). Huge demand for all armor tiers, made it all on volume. Other than the rare request for a combine, I haven't made anything in weeks and I don't have to. Plenty of newly minted GM's to provide the service.

Re: Post Your Guardian!
Well, I am trying to get my final two items for my lvl 45 gaurdian quests. Just two more Items!! Plus I want a bunch of stuff from Helegrod, ultimately the scale pocket, but nobody goes there. Imo, your style of play and ability to manipulate and control mobs, including ranged, is of far greater importance than gear.

BTW, thanks for the tips on pic posting.

Hey Proator. You might wanna change some of your gear to get less fate and more agility on you. Your tactical crit is higher than melee, which is good for casters mostly. We need melee crit. Just a friendly suggestion.

Re: Post Your Guardian!
I think Cyber's got a great tanking build there. He's worked his traits up & actually has more morale that I do with about 80 less vit. If you're comparing total damage avoidance, he's got 47, I have 45.8 total even though I have more blocking %. Plus, he has a sweet crit rate with 13.5% and with To The King equipped, that is really good. The more time the monster spends stunned from Overwhelm or the more conjuctions he opens with TTK, the less he's going to get hit. Tanking in LOTRO has always been about damage avoidance and he's got that down.
I'm curious what cloak he went with there, if he has the radiant cloak & hasn't added a fine radiant yet, he's going to push those stats up even further.Gladden Server - No Quarter: Xerogar - lvl 65 Guardian | Xerobpe - lvl 65 Champion | Xeroric - lvl 61 Captain | Xerotrace - lvl 55 Burglar | Knitters - Rank 6 Weaver | Fortes fortuna adiuvat

"Don't think; it can only hurt the ball club" - Crash Davis
I wouldn't have spent the hours creating a viable Guardians sticky if that were true.
I'm not sure how 47% B/E/P (52% in stance and 60%-61% with Guardians Ward) equates to not being as good a tank as others, but to each his own. When it comes to the content from the Shire to Thorog, I have no trouble being the MT and can tank with the best of them. IMO Avoidance>Vulnerabilty>Resitan ce>Mitigation. With that in mind I'm right where I want to be. I do change traits/gear like most people change underwear according to the situation but the build I showed was good enough to take down the Rogmul so I think it'll do just fine.
Thanks Xero. Nice to see someone got what I was going after and knows that it's right in line with what a tank can be. The crit rate really does have me stunning /opening Conjunctions a TON; a skill that will become even more valuable once the patch hits and To the King becomes a 7 second Cj instead of 3s next week.
The screenshot has me in Shadow-wrap but I also can be seen wearing a Fine Radiant Cloak and a Narchol according to the task at hand.
Armour:Complete Mirrored Ancient set substituting Berghelm. I'll also wear the Burnished Ancient leggings if there's no healing present
Shield: Stonhelm (pictured) or Hardened Heavy Ancient Shield
Weapons:Hausdrepa (pictured) and Stone-biter for Sword & Board. Mirrored Ancient Steel Greatsword for 2H.
Bows: Flightsong (pictured) or Fortified Black Ash Bow
Earrings: Baihdril & Laerdan's Earring (pictured) normally but I sub Erscin's Savior and/or Edhelharloch situationally
Bracelets: Aressechor & Mirechor (pictured) along with Dirdre's Bracelet, Candur and Silivrengil (this gets me up to 47.7 B/E/P but the loss in Power regen is too mcuh IMO without a captain around)
Rings: Ring of Fortitude and the Etched Beryl Ring
Pocket: Ancient Arrowhead (pictured), Ancient Iron Token or Phial of Swirling Waters according to the situation
As to the agility, like I wrote in the sticky, I recommend and collected Jewelry over armour as I leveled knowing I would GM Armourer and craft the gear I wanted. But to be clear, i pushed agility for avoidance. The side benefit was rarely ever missing and more crits, which helps me hold aggro like you wouldn't believe.Casiodorus Rex, Inn League Sage of Fine Spirits

Re: Post Your Guardian!
Here is Khulak.
I currently have 1 Baidhril and I'm using Edhelharloch as my other earring so I could get 1% more critical and 15 might for 15 will and .7 moral regen with another one. My necklace is an Etched beryl one, not the reward from Zaudru, but I don't mind the 15 agility instead of the 15 might that much. I could get a bit more agility with the burnished plate and a bit more might with a fine galadhrim helm, but the only mirrored piece that isn't really worth it is the mirrored leggings vs the burnished ones for the 2 points of morale regen. My bracelets are not the best ones as I didn't pick the best reward when leveling, but it'll be fixed once we get etched bracelets.

Re: Post Your Guardian!

Ok here is my Guardian, like i said still a work in progress, but i am workin' first on the levelin' up.
When i was around 35 i had my Fate as my highest followed by Agility and Might, it was a real work of horror. Since then i have worked hard to reverse it so that my 3 main critical stats are Might, Vitality and Agility.
It's not easy building Agility on a dwarf though, i am reading through the lore-book to try decide which Armours will best suit the stats that i want.
Once i hit around 45 i will head back and chop through the traits quick as i can. I currently have the following traits equipped:
Valour: 3
Justice: 4
Compassion: 6
Mercy: 3
Loyalty: 5
As soon as u get my discilpine up i will slot that it in place of Mercy.
I have to say though, that this is my first ever MMORPG and i am loving it, i am especially loving being the tank, it doesn't matter what game i am playing whenever it is a free flowing battle system like this one i love just being in the middle of the fray and the tank is without a doubt the best way to go about being public enemy no.1 in the middle of a mob.
I was running around with a lv.50 Champion (a mate of mine) in Gabilizan and i was pulling Aggro off of him!

Re: Post Your Guardian!
that was my favorite helmet ever, I was so sad when I finally had to replace it because it just wasn't practical to keep it and suffer a -45 morale, -30 vit, -30will penalty from not taking other higher level helmets. I was very sad there wasn't a higher level helmet that had a similar appearance. We need more full face covering helms.
