So I figured before I start a new thread for proud guardians and their ever so awesome exploits (captured for all to see,) I'd do a quick search and see what was hiding amongst dead threads! My first character I really got into was a rune-keeper a bit o'r two years ago. I had played WoW long ago for about 9 months, and I did love me my shaman. (Ah, Yumay, your memory lives on.) A rune-keeper was about as close as I could get for filling that role, and love playing him, I do!

One of my kinnies and I were talking after a Grand Stairs run, where his rune-keepr healed while I rained down ice, fire, and lightening. (Calling down lighting?! Lightening from our finger tips?! Holy Valar!) My kinnie's is a guardian. He told me a bit about what it's like tanking, that it's kind of a chess match, which totally got me curious! As a healer in hard runs, you learn to appreciate and recognize a good tank. "Wow, hey, no one's trying to kill me, and I can actually keep people alive!"

So I had an awesome dwarf guardian (because you have to admit, no one else looks and sounds as awesome as a dwarf guardian twirling and laughing as he slaughters by the handful!) I had shelved him out of boredom at level 23, but took him out of crafting and got him starting to hang around the Great Barrows learning the joy of tanking groups! It's so totally different of healing, almost the opposite in some ways! I can spend a tough run healing the group on my elf rune-keeper and only see snippets of the action the whole time, because I'm watching moral bars and seeing who needs me most the soonest! But with a guard, you have to watch all of the action, and the moral bars, to see that no one is running off to mess with my life support system working around me, and that means I finally get to see how cool combat actually looks!

All that being said, I was looking through some of my screen shots I have, and I thought I'd share some! Now, I see this thread started out as a "show and tell" of gear and stats, but rune keepers have a "Post our rune keeper photos here" type thread, and I see this one had begun to turn into that, too! So let's see how awesome your guardians look in action! The troll one above set the bar pretty high!!!

Well I was finally able to get off my butt and finish book 12 and get my cloak. That being said I'm pretty much calling my guardian finished... For now. :D

These are my probably my overall best looks but I have a bunch of different gear around that I can mix and match with. Also, thanks to all my guardian brothers and sisters for their help over the past year. We don't always see eye to eye but we have a great little community that helps each other out. :)

got my 4th part of the OD-set today and thought i should make a new stat-screen of my guardian
i still need a lot of scrolls of empowerment

next things to come:
od-breast
gortheron necklace (maybe)
a working doublesetbonus of ring+bracelet (gogogo turbine!)

still hoping my next belt will have 4 pool a's (+25% shield dmg), but for now im quite happy with my build

Hopefully some OD shinies to come. First Age axe, some shiny jewellery and the Teal shield are my biggest wants. I don't care much for the armour set so I won't grind for it.

If I'm taking lots of tactical damage or in the Moors fighting a creep such as a Warg, BA, Weaver or Defiler then sometimes I will swap in [Gregolin].

In my glass cannon build, with trail food, buffs and cappy banner I can get my Might over 2200. The IDOME and Motivated buffs also bump my Morale over 8k, and if there is a Minstrel present with Tale of Battle my Morale gets over 8.5k in my glass cannon build.

Really nice setup... I was wondering if you could tell me what's the name of the second wrist and first ring, and where could i get them... would really appreciate it.

Still a work in progress, been too busy creeping. Need to sort fidelity, replace iron guards with root guards. Then its waiting for my turn on clasp/FA.

And the only one with a lower thread-count is minnies. Kinda find that odd...but not sure why.

It's just crazy how effective this build is for soloing things. I've taken down the 140k Chieftan without even breaking a sweat. And as far as this nooblet of a boss goes, I never dipped below 8500 morale.

Guardians are awesome!

So I decided to finally finish my OP-build before Rohan to mow through them orcses a bit faster when leveling to 85, here's the result - also added in a quick dummy parse for future reference, and quite honestly, a bit of epeen =)

Fyr, have you tried -AD runes? Not sure if the dps increase will be worth losing 520 mastery (obviously need to parse to decide), but I guess one can go with one rune of each type.

Well yes, I basically copied the build of my champ for this, but I decided against the AD runes because our power consumption is ridiculous enough as it is, I'd rather make every hit I manage to make before I run out of power hit slightly harder =)

Really just a pic of me and some buffs, sure people have topped it but thought the morale was decent.
