I love the game, one of my favorites I've ever played. I don't RP at all, but can tolerate a little bit in groups. I want to join a big, very active, and very helpful Kinship. I try to play everyday, for 30 min to an hour, and alot on weekend nights too.

I'm a medium to heavy role-player who has been playing online games for many years. The play style I enjoy most is maximum immersion and staying IC.

Because voice programs such as Ventrilo break my immersion, I'm looking for a role-play kinship in which most of the members prefer not to use a voice program. I also prefer a kinship where members prefer to mostly stay IC in kinship chat.

Intermittent leveler, really more of an adornment to a troupe rather than a flashing bulb on the Christmas tree, nevertheless one does not inquire as to the level of the star at the top of the tree, one merely notes how it "completes" the tree.

Hello, my name is Envi (nickname from previous MMOs), and I just started playing a few days ago. I've played two MMOs for more than a year, DAoC and WoW. I loved DAoC, but quit when most of the people I knew had moved on. I took a break from MMOs entirely for the past few months, but with all the extra time I'm going to have due to real life circumstances in the next few months, I decided to give this one a try. I played a little bit in the beta, and decided on this game (and server) based on the maturity I read about on the forums. It looks like a great community, and one that I would like to join.

I consider myself to be a mature and experienced gamer, that has played most of the spectrum from casual to hardcore in the past, and I am looking for a casual kinship to join now that I have gotten myself hooked on the game. Usually I prefer small, friendly, casual guilds, based on friendship more than anything else. I don't really have much of any roleplaying experience in the past, but I'm willing to try that out as long as everyone else is willing to break in a newbie to RPing.

1. Quality over Quantity: I prefer a few great players to a massive amount of moderate players.
2. No Drama: Leave it outside the game. We all have lives, jobs, significant others, rl problems…whatever. The point is, there’s way too much drama outside the game to end up bringing it in the game and into a kinship
3. Power-gamer? Nope...not I.
4. Maturity. I prefer to be mature and considerate about most things. Also understand that this applies to humor. We’re all adults here…so if you can’t handle a blonde joke, baby joke, sexual jokes/innuendo…then I probably wouldn't fit in.
5. Helpfulness. I like to help people out. Only makes sense that, sure you may be about 5-10 levels ahead of your fellow Kin, but if they ask for help with a certain quest that we all know is a pain…jump in there and give a hand. Am I going to take all my time to help people out? No…but a little help now and then is a good thing.
6. Nagging/Stupidity/Beggers: There’s a difference between asking for help…and being a ***** about it. If you ask a question or are in need of help and I don't respond/can’t help…don’t be a ***** about it and complain all the time. Deal with it and move on. If your low on money to purchase your new uber-roxorz armor/weapon/whatever…don’t come begging to me….try farming. Think first. Simple philosphy, if you’re new to the world, try exploring it a little before you ask someone a question like…”how do I get hides?”
7. Having Fun. Above all…I like to have fun. It’s a game…just a game. We’re here to have fun and enjoy Tolkiens world.

Overall, I'm intrested in good times in a relaxed Kinship and am on Pacific Standard Time. As a side note...I'm not much of a Ventrillo/TS user, but I'll gladly use the ingame voice when fellowed with Kinsman.

Play style: Still learning the ropes - I play probably one to two hours every couple of days, more on weekends. I level slowly; I am largely unconcerned with stat-maxing and scary acronyms, and prefer, whenever possible, to just play the darn game.

I'm new to in-game roleplaying, but it's something that I would like to explore. For this reason, I'm looking for a kinship that is at least slightly roleplay-oriented. If someone would be willing to teach me a little bit more about it, that would be even better. I'm currently re-reading the original trilogy (haven't picked them up since 3rd/4th grade, so they're not exactly fresh in my mind) and I'm going to work through the Silmarillion after that... not exactly a lore fiend, but I'm working on it.

I'm seventeen years old (rest assured, I'm well potty trained!) and in central time, usually online in the evening hours - my workload varies from day to day. Roleplaying: Light to medium. I use to roleplay a lot on another game i played a few years back, but it has been a long time. I'm slowly getting back into it, but I do roleplay when i get the chance, but tend to limit my roleplay when i'm concentrating on achieving something specific.
Player type: Now that college has started i'm a casual player. I get on at least 3 days a week for a few hours at a time. During the weekends I usually play towards the night time hours for another few hours.

I have much experience with guilds, or kinships as they are known here. I took part in a guild on a roleplaying server on a game known as Neverwinter Nights. In that guild I held a high position of authority (ironic, considering the guild i was in was based on chaos and destruction), but I know what it takes to keep a kinship running, and with that knowledge I know it is best to actively participate with members of the kinship, and not just play along side, but develop actual friendships. I find that kinships last a lot longer if you can achieve that.
My experience with MMOs is slightly limited. I played WOW for a little while, got to level 36 and then got fed up with the general population. Although I don't play as often as I use to, I would be a valuable member to any kinship
I'm looking for a kinship with players who are like minded to me. Who believe that in order to have a successful kinship one must be willing to participate actively with other members, avoid having an 'elite few' who are bent only on better themselves, and exclude other members in order to pursue their own goals. Also, i would be interested in a roleplay guild. More of a casual one I suppose, although I do like to roleplay, I do not like to always remain in character, as i am interested also in getting to know the person behind the character.

My friends and I are currently considering leaving the small Kinship we've built since beta in favor of a close knit raid worthy Kinship. There are 5 of us total with the 5th rarely showing so basically we bring a 4-pack of experienced players.

We both have elves as our main characters, but aren't really willing to "learn" to speak fluent Sindarin/Quenyan. Instead we tend to use conventions like "(elven)" or just "(e)" to indicate that. We're also not looking for a "sex club," so kinships interested in that sort of RP need not apply.

Play Style: Laid back.. Sure, we like levelling, killling foes, and getting treasure, but we mostly want to have fun, take our time, and enjoy the game. I play with a family member, and enjoy a mature atmosphere with lore and people who can mutually enjoy the atmosphere. Im new to LOtR but not MMORPG's in general.

Would love to play in a RP kinship, to get the most out of the game, though honestly, I have yet to try.

Would like a casual yet lore oriented kinship that is helpful, active, not demanding but encouraging. I enjoy the friendship part of kinships as well, and would hope to find one where the people not only look foreward to the game, but for eachothers company in game as well.

Would love medium to heavy roleplaying, because I really want to get the most out of the Atmosphere of Middle Earth, and bring my charactor to life. To feel as if my charactor is part of the world, so to speak, and not just another charactor worried about stats and the best gear 8/

Medium Roleplayer, though Heavy when in the mood. Fairly laid back player.

I'm looking for a Kinship that enjoys roleplaying, likes to have a bit of fun, and doesn't stress on too many rules other than basic things that keep the game fun for everyone, such as keeping chat clean and such. I would like to learn the ropes of the game and learn how to become a better roleplayer alongside others, because being by myself becomes lonely at times, even in the Shire. I enjoy roleplaying because I play games to just leave our world and journey somewhere that we can only dream about, and the immersion of roleplay makes me feel like I'm really a living, breathing part of Middle-Earth.

Gameplay: Usually we play together but are always looking for people to work with and have fun with. My wife loves to craft and make things for the guild. We have both been guild leaders in both EQ2 and SWG and understand what it takes to run a successful friendship guild. We would prefer a fellowship that uses the microphone as we feel it makes it easier to get to know everyone.

Our playstyle tends to be 90% grouping (usually with each other). We love using microphones and enjoy meeting and getting to know people.

Looking for a medium sized guild looking to have fun. Raiding is fine but not looking for it. We will participate in all events that are possible for us to attend and we love grouping and helping people. My wife loves crafting and I love collecting crafting items.

Why You Would Want Me?: Well I’m not to sure why any would want me since I haven't started yet, but when I do I plan on being a heavy role-player and to be extremely helpful to all even if I must go out of my way to do it. I have little to offer any kinship at this moment since as I have stated i have not even started yet. I'm not big on using mics because I don't own one and it also seems bothersome in a way. I have previously played SWG, WoW, MxO(Matrix Online), CoV, and Guild Wars. The only game I truly liked out of all of them was SWG and that was mainly for the community and the overall immersion level, which has since dropped significantly.

I recently came to LOTRO because I wanted to try a new MMORPG. I've played WoW since launch but I've kept an eye on LOTRO because I am an avid Lord of the Rings fan and am crazy about the chance to inhabit Middle Earth (even in a game setting!). I come from a good guild on the Maelstrom server (RP-PvP) and am looking for a committed RP guild here. I would prefer a kinship with IC and OOC chat channels that focuses heavily on RP and socializing, I play fairly often during the evening hours and monday through wednesday I am on as much as I can manage. I plan to be around for a long time and would love to find a good group of players to adventure with. I bring to the table lots of RP experience and a love for Middle Earth. I am not an ex-WoW player with bad habits (already seen a few of those running around), I enjoyed WoW but I'm looking to start fresh and new here.
