Thread: Wrong forum username

Hi,

I sent tickets to Web Support but no answer :/
So I don't know what to do. I see ( and I suppose you too ) a wrong name that is not which I created by myaccount.turbine.com.
Also when I go to change my email or forum password appears a message: Features have been disabled.

I tried to do the thing of my.lotro.com in-game but I don't see any CAPTCHA words, only Username, Password and a Box that says if pass is weak or strong, Log in NA and Stay logged check. I log in and same ******* username

Please, anyone knows?

I don't know if there is something the debs can do about it. When I registered for the forums a few years back I accidentally used the same name as my game login back than. But this was not allowed so my name changed automatically to "lotrocommunity". And it still is my name here. Although not my post in name but my profile name. So devs? I didn't put this name, in myaccount.turbine.com I have my forum name as my main character! I registered it!

Anyway, YOU picked your forum name when you signed up, and no it can't be changed.

Turbine uses a global user id and password for all their features. You set your forum name, email address and password here:
https://myaccount.turbine.com/
on My Account.

The forum name is a write once and live with it field. Many people during account creation went - What is this field? What is it used for? Ennn I need to put something in there. Lets try random keyboard presses. Cool ashfgryio worked. Later on the customer starts using the forums and finds out they are ashfgryio. Change is not possible because you only get one name.

That is the reason why those forum features are disabled because that information comes from My Account.
