Thread: Am I not paying enough attention or is nothing going on?

So, a few days before Xmas, I decided to roll a couple of character's over here on Snowbourn, because i'd heard that it was quite popular and I wanted to give it a try. I made an Elf mini and a Dwarf RK, and judging from what I could see in the intro area's it was looking quite promising. So I downed tools on my main character and started working on my Minstrel (its one of the few classes I haven't played with yet), and i've now leveled her up to 57. The one thing that has been bugging me though, and especially since I've got into Moria, is the lack of action. I was assuming that, as should be expected, there would be quite a large proportion of player's getting stuck into end-game content, but even taking that into account, you would still expect a fair few Turtle/GS runs being advertised every now and again. But, incredibly, there's nothing!

The only time I've ever seen something in LFF was the one time in Bree, and the poor soul who was trying to get a PUG going could only get 2 other's in the space of 20-30 mins before they gave up. To bear in mind, this was at a peak European time, at about 18:00 GMT, and unless I've got something catastrophically wrong, this IS (or was) a European-based server. I'm going to level this mini up to 85 regardless, but it would've been nice to do a few instance's as well!

But, more to the point, is everything being done behind locked doors i.e kin/alliance runs?

I play on Gladden, a relatively underpopulated server. I know within my Kinship we do multiple runs of multiple instances. You mention the LFF channel. If that the normal LFF channel, then indeed you are not alone in discovering its mostly empty. However each server has a Global LFF. You can join it by typing "/joinchannel glff". Whenever I need to fill a group, or wish to join one, I always search the GLFF.

True, I tried that for a little while after asking why the standard GLFF didn't seem to have many people, but its mostly end-game stuff being repeated over and over, so after a few days I backed out of it. I know a lot of my kinnies have been doing moria the last few weeks and pugging most of the groups. Turtle should still be seeing a fair bit of action, and I know theres been a few watcher raids going on too. The only thing i havent seen advertised in a while is a DN raid.

Get back in GlobalLFF and advertise those instances yourself. You'd be surprised how many people want to join various content, but don't want to be the one to lead it or start it themselves.

Also don't discount the fact that while players may be online on an end-game character, They can and will relog to one of their other characters if something tempting presents itself.

To add to what Bal said above, I still enjoy the Moria and Lothlorien instances and would be quite happy to run any of them (except possibly Forges, as I have a fear of heights in real life). Personal favourite is still the mad leeroy fest that is Halls of Crafting - and I still want to pull every mob in Fil Gashan at once...

I'm running my lvl60 champ through Moria at the moment and haven't done any group quests yet so if you want to start a group give a shout out to Krida.

Global just lately has been constant 'Cliving Farm' or 'DODG Farm'. It was a bit more diverse 6 weeks ago. Watch this space, it'll get back to normal when the farming frenzy subsides and the new content is no longer quite so new.

Maybe I was being a bit hasty, i'll have another look in over the weekend when it's a bit busier, see whats going on. Although having said that i'm not exactly in a position of much use at present, i've only got 2-3 blue slots unlocked at the moment, and I would prefer to have at least four before running anything. I thought exactly the same thing.. turns out there is a /glff channel which is sooo quiet, then there is /gloallff which is usually very busy, I've used it many times at lower levels and had instant responses.

I've found the folk of Snowborne to be most helpfull and willing, you've made a good server choice.. enjoy
