My herbalist is Dr. Quinn cause I still have a crush on Jane Seymour after all these years even though I didn't like that show all that much.
My alt hunter is named Malodorous (mal-odor-ous) so of course his horse has to be Limburger.
And being an Officer of The One Keg, I had to have alts named Beered and Beerormor.
I did the Moors for a short time and had a warg named Maulumor.

Something that had never occurred to me but my missus has just pointed out: why don't I call one of my horses GeeGee seeing as GG are my initials and nickname.

I recently gave my mounts names like:
Kascha, Kira, Jenna, Janine etc. Some may recognize those names.
Makes the choice of which to mount quite enjoyable these days.....

My Lore-master's eagle is named UncleSam
He also has a spirit boar that I named LowFatBacon - that usually gets at least one comment from every PUG I join
The regular Spirit of Nature pet ( the glowing ball) is named Headlight
Several cosmetic pets, including a cat (EightLives), a rabbit (Peter - ok, pretty obvious, but I couldn't resist) and a frog (HiddenPrince)
I also started a trend in my kin wherein we name skirm soldiers after one another, which has been kinda fun. So my Hunter's Protector is called LilValdrid (Valdrid is a Guardian kinnie) and a kinmate Warden named his Hobbit Archer "MiniSorren" after my hunter.
And of course I couldn't resist naming my Guardian's female elf archer "Lehgolassie" - that alway elicits a groan! Too bad I had to include the "h" to get the game to accept the name. He he
We have fun with it

Named my Captains herald Harold.

My main named his goat EatsOats, and I named my warhorse Mortimer (old Warner Brothers cartoon reference, bugs bunny vs. a giant orange hairy Frankenstein creation.)
As soon as they idiot proof something, the others send in some slack-jawed, drooling stooge to gum up the works.

Because it kills more things than I do, I named my LM's lynx "Misadventure". I like seeing that Misadventure killed the mob.
Then I named my warhorse "Orca" because it steers like one.

Nice, lol. That reminded me of one I forgot to mention before: a skirm soldier named Halitosis. I love seeing "Halitosis defeated the Hale Chief's Man" appear in the combat window
Also have a LM black lynx pet named BadLuck
Finally, diverting into surnames, I gave all 5 of my characters last names from Charles Dickens stories, because Dickens had such a flare for naming his characters:
Hunter - Sorrenbor Smallweed
LM - Xorthelion Tulkinghorn (skirm soldier is MrGuppy)
Both from Dickens' "Bleak House"
and then...
RK - Skalding Slyme (my favorite character name)
Captain - Dorrelon Chuzzlewit
Guardian - Pukk Pecksniff
All from "Martin Chuzzlewit"Last edited by Troutdude; Feb 02 2013 at 12:59 PM.

Oh! I almost forgot!
While questing in Mirkwood back in the day, I was saved from near-death by a Lore-master named "Mustrum Ridcully," who had a pet called "GaspodeTheDog." I couldn't stop laughing. (The Terry Pratchett fans of the LOTRO forums will understand why.)

Not that it's clever, but my RK stone is named Fluffy.
One of my LMs have an Ember Eagle which I named Pontiac. Probably the closest one can get to a screaming chicken emblem.
My personal favorite is my Oathbreaker Archer, BEN, Because BEN DROWNED. Hopefully some people get that reference.Mredothyn - Burglar / Attanamir - Lore-Master / Vallye - Captain / Hrafen - Champion - Landroval
