Thread: Farming on Meneldor

Today 2 hours long nex to grams i see EROSENNI & MIRGOLDROS farming 2 new reavers ,first time i see farming on meneldor &
first time i writing in the forum, sorry for my bad english

If it's true you can count on them having a tough time getting into groups both PvE and PvP. Thanks for letting us know.

Can you describe what you saw in a little more detail. did the reavers fight back, or just walk in and stop?

first i see 2 reavers running from grams ,i ask on the occ is any actions & i have no answer.After 2min i see the same 2 reavers running again out of the grams,i follow them heading to place between grams& the troll cave .Erosseni kill them .
Reavers didn't fight back.After 1 min they come back again.I log on my warg to come closer & make screenshot ,
but they see me or track me & run away

While I do hate farming, FYI it violates the forum rules to call out folks for in game actions. Doubt it will help, but maybe you should just report them to the GM in game, and have pictures to back it up?

Keep posting away. I was just trying to head you off from getting sanctioned. I guess Turbine's reasoning is that forums get heated enough without folks calling out others by name. And they are probably right, whether you are calling out folks for griefing, exploiting, rank farming etc. The right way to do it is to report them in game....

Reavers weren't even fighting back.After 1 min they come back again.I log on my warg to see if the reavers needed help but they see me or track me & run away. Just wanted to say I wasn't going to attack you, just wanted to say hi. And i'm glad i was able to save you two reavers, it sucks to get lagged out so you can't move.

First off you must be new to the game

1. its not exploiting or against the rules to FC

2. you CAN use a persons name in the forum and unless youre calling them names, trolling them etc... just pointing out what someone is doing isnt going to get you in trouble

As to whether it is against the terms of service, they don't seem to care much. It might be considered exploiting (a term that means whatever Turbine chooses to make it mean), but general enforcement of the rules is lax. Nor did I say it was in this thread far as I could see. I just said I too hate farming and that OP could feel free to report them for it if he chose.

As to 2, you are in fact totally wrong. If one of the people named complained, I believe he would be sanctioned. As I said in my first post, quoting from the guidelines. He is in direct violation of the rule below...

1. Once again it is NOT against the rules to fc in the moors not, not and more nots.


2. Two you can USE someones name it depends on whats said in the topic and show me the rule book all you want its how you word what you're say. period


Lastly i will repeat its not against the rules to Fc in the moors and yeah go ahead and report it but its a waste of time PERIOD.

I encourage him to report them if he wants. If he thinks someone controlling multiple reavers and repeatedly killing them feels like an exploit, he can run it by the GMs. I agree, in game enforcement is pretty lax in general, and he won't get anywhere.

As to 2, I'll make a series of assertions

1) It is clearly against the rule stated to call someone out by name for in game activity
2) The forum mods can and do issue warnings and infractions for violating the rules.
3) The rules are not enforced at all consistently, but as far as I can tell tend to be if there is a complaint issued against a post that is in clear violation of the rules
4) No forum user knows which forum rules are enforced and how often, as it is also against the rules to discuss disciplinary measures.

Hmm. Are you disagreeing with the following idea:

If you believe someone is doing something wrong in the game, it is better to report them than to call them out by name in the forums?

Because reporting them, even if nothing is done, is presumably OK as long as you don't overdo it (i.e. keep reporting if you are told that the thing you are complaining about is fine). I can't believe you'd get in trouble for reporting "I have video of this guy killing the same non-resisting set of reavers 48 times in 1 hour. Looks like an exploit to me." But as I said above, presumably nothing would be done if you did report it. As to control, nope, though maybe turbine (by IP range or some other mechanism) could tell though. But I don't believe they'd care much. While farming is a lame activity, not clear it impacts the almighty store, and it doesn't really impact other players much either.

You have a better chance of getting in trouble (especially if you report the same person multiple times) for reporting a farmer... unfortunately.

The best thing about the farmers on BW is that they're almost all Chinese and i'm pretty sure that they can't read the forums due to their government. So posting vids/making threads about them isn't really a big deal.

Personally, I stopped caring after one of them guilt-tripped me about his/her need to get r10 for the SA symbol. I'm not condoning it, I just don't care anymore. It's bad enough that they live in China :/

I don t want to report anyone to turbine ,turbine didn't play with us on meneldor ,we play ,freeps,creeps,frends.I want only to
make you know for things we don't like to happen on meneldor & mirgoldros& erosenni have to play with us not with turbine

You can have as many accts as you want, farm yourself over and over and over and over if you want this is NOT a violation of any sorts its pvp period.........Is it right no far from it but againsts the rules to fc? no


Just like you can power level a toon of yours its NOT against the rules

One last example a creep had 9 toons playing at once and because he didnt violate any software or hardware issue he used what turbine gave him he was allowed to play them at the same time and i promise you he was probably reported hundreds of time and the comment back was"he isnt breaking any rules!!!"
