My RK tends to have Game of Thrones-based names on all of her stuff.

On my Loremaster, I named mine Eruvadhor, which is basically my name in Sindarin.
On my Mini, i'm veering towards calling him Harpo, which is basically showing my lack of imagination.

I switch my war horses name between Locke and Durellach every now and then, hard to decide which I prefer

When I get the option of choosing a name for any pet or horse, I wait for something memorable to happen in-game with the animal and derive a name from that. After the little bird quest in Entwash /cry, my hunter's steed became Fileg (meaning small bird in Sindarin.)
After a number of spectacular horse-breaking falls off of very low heights, my minni's steed's fragile knees were breaking so often I ran through names in my head... Ming Vase, Limoges, and a few other porcelain names. She finally ended up with Horselain
Still waiting for an event for my LM and RK to name their steeds!

Though all my other names in game are Sindarin, I went with a different mythos altogether for my RK's light steed--- Gwalchmai, Hawk of May in Welch, from a great trilogy on King Arthur. : >

I kind of had a theme going (as a hobbit who also has cooking as a craft) of naming all my horses after spices. So I named the warsteed "Clove." It seemed fitting since it a popular spice this time of year and it's kind of the color of that clove flavored gum. I might change it though. I just got my horse last night and I kind of came here to learn about them (just started playing the game again after a long break, so I have some catching up to do figuring out what's new).

My Champs horse is Horsa, and my hubbys RK horse is Hengest. I chose it because it was a suitably Rohirric name for a Dwarf to choose, but it is an actual historical name. These were two brothers of history/legend, who led the combined Saxon, Angle and Jute armies against Britain in the fifth century.
My Dwarf Tanks horse is Brazyk, a dwarven tongue in cheek reference to the store pricing of warsteed stuff.

Name of my Warsteed
[QUOTE=Sigram;6475625]I've always renamed my pets and horses in game, even though I am the only one who can see it. What did you rename your Warsteed?
I play Finnan, a level 85 human guardian on Nimrodel and I renamed my warhorse 'Beriadan', which is Sindarin Elvish meaning 'Protector of Men'.Last edited by Aelanor; Jan 04 2013 at 05:47 PM.

Avair, which was the name of that Angmar chick before they took it from her and exiled her to Forochel, and it looks like she goes on to become a major NPC! Anyways, that USED to be her name, but I took it off of her, and gave it to my horse! And BTW, in the process I stripped the name given to my horse by the Rohan Lord and replaced it with hers.
That's how I roll. :")

Warsteed names thus far
I chose Celtic names for mine, my RK's is Macha(for one of the goddesses of war, seemed fitting) and my LM's is Epona.

Mine is "Crazyhorse" because it made me feel like my Hunter was riding and shooting like an Indian. Seems like Pagebeck and I have a few things in common. We probably live close to each other since my "Channel 20" seems to be the same in Florida.
I just love riding wild across the fields of Rohan. Soon, those fields may be expanded with Helm's Deep.
