Was playing creep at HH when I got stunned and never became unstunned. Logged all the way out to receive cleaning up old connection at the bottom of the loading screen. Anyone know why? How to fix if they know how?
Cleaning up old connection - this is because you did not log out properly, most likely you had a client crash.
When the client closes normally, from logging out or exiting the game, the connection to the server is shut down, if the client crashes or you shut the lotro client out side of the in-game options, the connection to the lotro server will remain open for a short period of time. Before LOTRO can reconnect you, your old connection must be shut down.
It does the same thing when you're logging out to switch characters. That time you have to sit and wait between changing? That's the cleaning up of the old connection!
It usually only lasts a few seconds, even after a broken game client.
If it doesn't stop, restart your computer. If that doesn't work, contact the support people

From the sound of it, you got hit by the "WL bug", which is prominent with the WL mostly, but can hit other creep and also freep classes (had it on my RK in OD). It has been an ongoing problem in the moors for years.
There's not really anything you can do but wait until the client lets you in.
Affected players usually hang in the "cleaning up" loop for about 20 minutes before the process contiues.
