If you're asking where it normally drops when the expansion launches, you can occasionally find it in the twice-weekly chests of level 85 raid-size skirmishes.
It's possible it may drop as normal loot in those skirmishes too (i.e., not tied to the twice-weekly quests), but that hasn't been confirmed yet that I know of.
I knew that the Worn symbol you can get at the moment for lvl 75 legendary weapons was given as an Epic Quest reward, but I believe that the reward is a legendary bridle in the upcoming Epic line.
I don't raid or group much so I was wondering if there was alternatives, thank you for your responses it looks like I will turn to the AH when I need to.

Skirmish Chests have always been weekly not twice-weekly CDs. Did I miss that as a beta note somewhere?
I thought the L75 2As were moved from the weekly to the regular chest awhile back, I can't see them locking it behind the weekly chest given that we dont have any non-scaled content to obtain it from at the moment, and that scaled content is intended as the primary means of acquisition at launch.

I haven't seen that personally but they implemented that on live a long time ago now.
Turbine added the auto-level to 85 too late in the beta testing phase for there to be any interest of running scaled instances.

I was highly disappointed in the tooling not granting a war-steed, any Riddermark Tokens, and leaving us more on the 'well-geared' side of the curve when dropping us at 85. Checked out the XP Disabler.

I ran School and Library with Argendauss. He's a captain I am a hunter. We duo'd them both at level 85. Armor/Jewelry Loot has been scaled, marks/medallion gain sucks. We didn't get anything special from the chests.
I would really love to be able to do about 5 or so skirmish raids in the final beta to get some results :-/
After reading the new Warband Dev Diary, it looks like you can get a Tarnished symbol from the gift boxes you can obtain from defeating a warband.

I _may_ have gotten a single relic from a box just before the previous beta round ended. I could be remembering wrong though and gotten it from a quest :-/
So now that we're live, I'm wondering if people are seeing the tarnished symbols drop. I've done a few skirmish raids, and killed the raid warband a few times. Haven't seen a symbol to roll on. Haven't heard of anyone else seeing it either. Am I just unlucky? Have you been seeing it drop?
I haven't played end-game ever myself, but the impression I've gotten from the forums is that buying SA components with marks etc have never been available before FA components drop somewhere...

As far as bartering for them I'm sure they will follow what they did last time and put them in at a later date, maybe around the time of the IC (guess).
Until then I'll be attempting to farm Bugud when I'm finished leveling/questing as I've not tried it yet.
Yep, I was aware that it was once a day. By 'farm' I really meant repeatedly attempting the daily quest until I either get lucky or bored.
But with the wait until the IC comes out then the wait on top of that for people to sell the 2A symbols, THEN to wait for the symbols to be reasonably priced I will have to be pretty bored to stop trying.

I second this, I also picked one up from the same Warband, Bugud. Not sure if this fact matters, but defeating him with a smaller group (6 or less ) i have gotten fluff loot. When the symbol dropped, we defeated him with a raid sized group.

So, what you're saying then is, it is better to form up a "Raid" to take on Bugud rather than just an angry mob of players "TAPPING" him?
I don't think it's a matter of grouping up in a raid or just tapping him ungrouped, but rather the amount of players that are taking him on

Thanks for confirmation, I guessed this could be possible but it's nice to KNOW it can happen. I guess the droprate is quite low (which is okay, since this raid mob is in landscape and you don't have to kill a lot of mobs before reaching him), but that's okay as long as I have a possibility of acquiring the symbol

Oh yes, and pennants. There seems to be a banner and pennant for all Rohan settlements. I wish I could put them all outside my deluxe hobbit-house so I could pretend my house is the United Nations Headquarters in Middle-Earth
I've killed Bugud multiple times daily since I was level 85 and still have yet to get anything useful beyond banners/pennants, marksMmeds/shards and one variation of spotted warsteed. Also never got from a skirmish. Frustrating.
