I've seen this on other server forum, so I thought I would start one up on Riddermark and see how it turns out!

Who do you think is the best of the server out of each category?

since all I have done lately is freep ill do it for creeps. And since its hard to do just one ill name a few.

I was thinking about making such a list before. Two things stopped me: a) it's very easy to forget someone and thus offend the person b) most people being named have high ranks. Meanwhile, there are some good players out there whom we don't see that often.

Also, being high-ranked influences the choices. For example, when someone asks me to answer quickly who the best burg is, my first thought is Alsander...and then I recall that there's also Giggle...and then some burgs who might be blue-ranked, but still good. The same is true about other classes. For instance, Carli and Qlimax are very impressive rks. However, Aza is a good one too, not to mention guys like Rikz or Rumors. But very few people will pick them now since they are not as high-ranked as the first two.

Another problem is comparing players of the past to those of the present. Now I remember that when I was a blue-rank, Screamo was the #1 champ on the server. He was just amazing. Only Shiro could match him in some respects. However, at that time I was a bad player and had lousy gear. How would I evaluate his skills now? I don't know. Maybe he is still better than everyone else, and maybe not.

My statement was that people mostly name high ranks as the top players. However, it doesn't imply that ANY high-ranked player should be named often and regarded one of the best. Something new everyday. I was thinking the exact same thing.

Especially with something like open world pvp ... it's hard to gage who has truly performed the best overall (especially since none of us can even agree on a rule set to measure by). It's not even a popularity contest, because it's the same 20 people who read the Ridder pvp forums. Lol

But to each their own. My two cents, that's all.

Typically it's because I get tunnel vision when I attack/am attacked by a freep. I can't tell ya how many times I've gone running after a freep only to die, then as I look around my corpse... "Where are all the creeps?! And where the heck did the rest of these freeps come from?!" :P (and I rarely ever use HiPS or Sprint. I like to save those for trolling Bonnie )



Plus, I've always been a bad player.

Since this is pretty much an Epeen contest I vote myself for all catagories. No need for applause, I accept this honor with humility and graciousness. Now I just have to beat Scuppers in the most adorable Hobbit category, that'll be a toughy.

I applaud the effort silence, it can be hard to get something positive going one these forums as most of us come here to vent. I don't have anything different to add (except maybe Hotsndots for defiler) from the names already mentioned. However, i do think it's time for some irreverence, forums too serious they are....places tongue firmly placed in cheek.... ps, if i missed anyone, consider yourself on the list

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to couillon again.

Just to clear up my post up, skill level still finds a way to separate consistent players from inconsistent (or good/bad if u prefer), more so between the same classe...eg, my rk vs carli/rickz. However, the extent to which skill matters in determining outcomes is growing irrelevant with each new store product and class update. My post is making light of this issue, I'm always one to thumb my nose at authority, ie turbine.

Going to just put my all-time "bests" since I don't know who is even still playing.And I like to remember the good old days.I couldn't pick just one person very often.

Burglar:Alsander(for that matter Al pal could be #1 for all these categories,even classes he hasn't rolled yet.He's just that good.)

Captain:Mayo,Cariance,Thurman and Nomere its impossible for me to pick one better than the other these guys are the best in PvE and PvP solo or grouped and were always a testament to what the class could do.

Warden:Kyla is hands down the best warden I have ever played with,any server,PvP or PvE,Silvers and Bostic are also right up there.

Hunter:Meleo and Dumptruck

Champion:Screamokid and Shiro I forgot all about Boh it's been so long sine I had seen him Boh was a pioneer at solo beastly champs.

Rune-keeper:Rikz,Carli,and I'd even put Aza here we didnt play together a ton but when we did,impressive stuff.

Minstrel:Bela for heals.Maditrl(sp?)Alsander's mini for dps.

Loremaster:Fishbait.Bigearsand all.Chef's LM was looking pretty legit too last I saw.

Guardian:Rubicon! oh and Proton for sure.

Burglar, Alsander, by leaps and bounds, twice as good as me and I'm damn good
Captain, Mayo, he set the way
Warden, Silvers, he's not a warden it's a strong point bunker
Hunter, I'll go Dumptruck, Meleo was king in his time though
Champion, is hard, Boh for fighting zergs and getting kills, Shiro for style and class
Rune-keeper I hate them all, Carli or Rikz
Minstrel, Hmm old days I don't know, Azusa infuriated me, now they all do.
Loremaster, the Verks do amazing things with a class at it's low point.
Guardian, got to go with Shawty.

Creeps:
Blackarrow: Hard toss up, I'll have to go Fry, but he usually had WL back up, LBF was better solo.
Warleader: not to be immodest but I'm the one that started 1v1ing on a WL before the update, Healacreep became really good at it.
Defiler: Pankake
Reaver: Fleshstorm, we've had some infuriating reavers though, remember the guy we ran off cause he just used to come charge, dev, then run off? he had crazy stats when the server just started
Stalker: Another toughie, I think Germs has shown he can play and excel at any style, star hugging or kill crazed.
Weaver: I know nothing about this class, DaeDae? Gangly? Tinder? Whatever, whoever pee's on the ground and let's me kite through it.
Mustard's spider humiliated me on my new burg though also.
