Post your highest damage relentless solo

Dual wield numbers only please. I thought 7-8k was a good dev solo with a 2hander but apparently it is for a one hander.

Training dummy would be most effective.

As you don't seem to believe it. Here's a quick one for you. Never mind the DPS, wasn't going for the DPS, just hunting a dev crit. That's 7k, no clicky and no fervour potion used. I have dev'd landscape mobs for up to 7k.

One day, Vodomir, someone besides me will believe what a dual-wielder is capable of.

On the upside, no competition for good off-hand drops for us!

Did you mess around with your raid build at all for more PM to get this?

The maximum damage showed in combat analysis is from a remorseless (of course).
Not as great as vodomir's, and I had controlled burn on.

I had 2 dev mag setting at the time, 28500ish mastery and a second age with 3 star lit crystals.

Yupp, I do use a more PM-oriented build for dummy parsing. PM is around 31k if I remember correctly.

I dont know how can u do that low dps on training dummy. On 1 hander i usualy do 7k devestated easily on dummy while 2hander goes 10k aswell. 29500 Mastery / 7K critical with no buffs of any kind. 33K mastery/almost 9 with buffs. My devestated with buffs are not much more improved, maybe for 500dmg only. Still 2-3 7k hits in 1min is not a problem with 1 hander.

You should check your legacies and traits or something if u have problems with 7k hits on dummy in Galtrev. It's not a problem to do at all, even without 1st age.

The difference is I am running more mastery, a first age sword with 3 crystals and had improved (and legacied) rend on the dummy to lower its armour rating. Don't remember by heart if I hab CB up or not, as it was in the middle of the night (around 2:00 a.m.) and I was half asleep.

I explicitly mentioned not to watch for the DPS, as I was not going hard on the dummy at all. I parse up to 2.300 DPS on a dummy without external buffs or CBR. Though I do use the limlight clicky and baingrist to parse that high. Breaking 2k DPS is not a sweat at all.

That I'd like to see actually. I was around 31k mastery for this and I do use dev mag settings (or are you using Improved Controlled Burn via the 4-piece Threkkappi-Set-Bonus?). And doing 9K seems more than unlikely to me. 2k of additional mastery (compared to my 31k) don't translate to 2k more damage. I also highly doubt that those are regular crits (way too high for a regular crit, I can barely scratch 5k with a regular crit) and devs (with bufs on you) only doing 500 dmg more? Something smells fishy here, especially if you are using a 2nd age weapon.

I think he is saying that those figures are his crit rating not how much he crits for.Because if not i agree something just doesn't add up.

He is definitely not speaking about crit rating, why would he have higher crit rating when he builds for higher mastery, and why would his crit rating be even bigger when using a 2H? He is for sure speaking about DMG.

I was saying my critical rating not critical hit.

And i was speaking devestating hits on dummy not critical hit. Btw why would critical hit even be so important on dummy or lvl75 mob when champ most powerful is ofc devestated. So i was saying with 1 handers i can do easily 7k devestated and on 2hander easily hit dummy with 10k devestated. I was not saying that i crit 7-8k with 1 hander, i said it is my critical rating.

And i didnt count food - scrolls, if i would then my master is 34k mate.

And dummy hit ofc without CBR

    P.S

My DW setup gives me 7,5k crit rating on 29k mastery without buffs but i can got 8k+ crit on cost of mastery, which i dont like as my build gives me very high hits, good % of devestated and great dps overall so not needed to gamble on mastery for crit.

Dualwield, in a mastery oriented build I do hit around 7k devcrits, like most others here. Fully buffed devcrits in saru t2 with my twohander can reach, if everything lines up nicely, 23kish? Fire ring, to arms, 2 burgs and oathies is a powerful, powerful combination

If that was your highest crit with a 2H in the Saruman fight, then something didn't align as well as you think it did ^^ I hit 20k with my Dual Wield setup and didn't have dev mag settings or the dev mag helm by that time ... a 2H should be able to produce higher numbers.

Hehe undoubtedly, devs can always get higher =) Things like the dev mag helm, fervour pots (do they stack? I never checked if they actually stack) and probably cbr (the 23k hit was when we were exploring the fight, I definitely didn't have cbr on as much as I do now ). /derail

I think 7k unbuffed devcrits on dummies are pretty much the maximum, stacking PM above 30k is really not viable in any build I've ever seen (dropping capped crit on strike skills being non-viable, I know, I'm a hardliner ) but pushing PM higher in favour of crit could land you a little higher devs. Not worth it though as the frequency of them occuring will go down (drastically).

Yes, ill second that. I'm DW and can hit well over 20k with 2 burgs, cbr , dev mag settings also the lg buff and controlled burn were on, but thats without the +30% dev mag pots, +73 might food(+730 phys mast), had no dunlending battle scrolls(+700 phys mast) left and no fight on active either or the helm, so i know full well that could be a lot lot higher, even more still if i was 2h.One point to mention is that the max shot in combat analysis will only be for the main hand strike from relentless so you would have to add in the off hand shot to get a true value for the whole damage caused by relentless and i really couldnt be bothered to scroll all the way back through my combat log to see.

Who would really slot let alone actually use fight on in any raid encounter? Traiting fight on is an utter waste of a trait slot that can otherwise be used for a far more useful legendary. Fight on is only good for ePeen-purpose to achieve higher crits/devs, but overall your raid/group will lose time with fight on slotted instead of gaining time. I've already explained this (and the math behind it) in another thread.

Which is exactly why it wasnt active or indeed even traited, the discussion was about how high you can get a dev to go and fight on would help with that one shot(which you even say in your own post).I agree its not a worthwhile slot otherwise.Thats the 2nd post you havent read properly in a very short space of time, might i suggest you actually start making sure you fully understand the comments people make before you reply to them, it saves a backtrack later on.

You haven't actually made any statement on why you didn't slot fight on and reading your first post sounds like it was a viable option for you. I thought that we were talking about high crits in an at least realistic scenario. Traiting and using Fight On just to achieve a bigger one shot is a burden to your whole raid group, as you will usually get the fire buff at the beginning of a phase and having to live with the backdraws of Fight On until you get out of combat is a strain - no one in their right mind would even consider taking Fight On to a fight like Saruman. I did read and understand your first post, it just failed to make clear that you don't consider Fight On to be a viable option up there - as everything else on your list of missing things that could have helped to make your crit even higher is actually viable.

Just to theorize, would Fight On be useful in an Acid zerg? Legendary traits would be Fight On, CBR, and CB. The trick would be to get your morale to the 60% which means CBR ticking at you with no healing mark or group heals. It is such a short fight that the Fight On penalties do not really matter to you.

I've never tried it but wanted to throw it out there for opinions.

No, it won't. In any solo encounter 'Fight On' will help to speed up the fight by a maximum of 15 seconds and in a raid, where you probably only contribute somewhere around 20% - 25% of the raid's overall DPS, you will at most save the raids a mere few seconds, nothing to cheer for (I did the math behind this here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...t=#post6266907). You easily lose those few seconds for either having to re-trait for the boss or for not having Raging Blades on the trash prior to the boss - the raid effectively loses time. Leaving Controlled Burn or CBR out in favour of Fight on is out of question. So even for such a short fight 'Fight On' is not remotely worth the hassle.

Again, that depends on how your raid operates. My raid often has people switching classes from trash to boss so it's no big deal to leave the instance to retrait. On Lightning, for example, I will go from my 4r3y, high phys mit build for trash to 5r2y tac mit build for boss. It's not super useful but I have used Fight On! for the zerg phase at the end of the fight.

Since Acid boss can't be reset, I personally wouldn't unslot RB just because, if something goes wrong in your zerg attempt and you have to deal with adds, you better have RB.

Of course you could probably re-trait without losing time, if your raid pauses no matter what. But slotting Fight On won't save your raid more than 2-3 seconds, not sure if that's worth it.

You don't unslot RB? So you either have to unslot Controlled Burn or CBR, which kind of takes the whole discussion ad absurdum, as you will lose DPS by unslotting either of these lengendaries.

Well I meant if you've gotta wait for people to respec/swap classses anyway, you may as well slot Fight On! even if it's of minimal benefit just for the fun factor of seeing big numbers.

For the second point, I was saying I wouldn't unslot RB for Acid in order to slot Fight On!. In Lightning, there's no reason to have RB slotted at all (except for the sound effect I guess), but in Acid I'd want RB there if things went south with the zerging. So for Lightning, CBR, CB, Fight On!, for Acid , CBR, CB, RB.
