Congrats on wasting countless hours of your life farming yourself.
I can only imagine a simple minded person being able to have fun while doing it.
You should have wasted 10 minutes making a friend on Firefoot to create the grats thread for you....

P.S. The only way to win an MMO is to have your name forever remembered in battles of amazing glory.
Will people remember the name Farmpaws from that one low pop server most transferred off?

Why do you all care about 1 person stat padding himself to r15 on a server most of you don't play on, not like it effects your game, all he is doing is trolling you all. Best let sleeping dogs lie and crush his ego by ignoring him and his artificially inflated rank, I'm sure your all be less angry by it.

Not sure how this would be acceptable in any other MMO, not sure why it's acceptable here.

Is the "fight clubbing" mentioned 1v1s? If so, I don't consider that farming, or cheating.

If you farmed infamy by multi-boxing or killing your own toons or a friends repeatedly without them trying to kill you, then your rank is absolutely meaningless, and imho something to be ashamed of rather than proud of.

Btw, if I encountered you in mai moors, you would either burn your cds to get away, or you'd get a quick trip back to the nearest rez o.O

Though, him posting on forums and clearly baiting you all shows how easily this PvP (and forum) system can be manipulated. One post by Turbine stating that this won't be tolerated anymore and subsequent banning of every 100% known exploiter/fightclubber/cheater/whatever would end this farse of a system and maybe people would move along. Im confused. If freeps want they can grind instances over and over again in order to get rewards for better gear. (mind you there is a time lock on some of the higher tiered ones).
If there are no freeps on and he wants to gain infamy go for it.
Personally it defeats the point of having fun in a game...but guess for alot of you this is life soo yeah.....if you wanna "enhance" your quality of life, i guess farmpaws did that.

If anything, the OP's accomplishment is a testimony of how shallow and empty Turbine has made LOTRO's PvMP.

Rank means nothing, or close to nothing, due to fightclubbing and farming oneself (or friends) over and over and over. Sure, one can -- and should -- praise those who get their Rank by actually PvMPing, but, lets be honest: the commendation system and the F2P model encourage just the opposite. Turbine is to blame as much as any Reknown farmer out there.

Thinking about Rank these past few days, I got to the conclusion that it's more important to play the game and praise those I see fighting day in and day out despite their Ranks then give any importance to Rank. At all. LOTRO is just a game, and it's supposed to be fun just like any other game, and although it can be competitive -- and it actually is, especially in PvMP --, there's nothing like having good comrades by your side fighting and having fun then giving any attention to the vain, egotistical and selfabsorbed Reknown farmers that come to the forums -- or go to GLFF -- looking for the praise and attention their low self-steem so desperately eagers for. I won't let myself believe that the Moors is more and more becoming the home of those who hit the LOTRO Store button instead of fighting for what they want. And for that, I'll go as far as turn off other player's Rank from ever showing again.

Despite these shallow and empty few players, I believe the Moors is still home to those who achieve every Rank through blood and tears, bravery and frustration, honest charging or stealthy backstabbing treachery.

One of the goals with the changes JWB and I made was to address the "keep trading" mentality of the Moors by removing the rewards for the actual flip and instead have them enhance what you gain for defeating players.

Being smart about how and when you turn in rewards is a valid method of play.

Farmpaws, and those like him, will not accept they are expoiting the system with anything other than a ban. The vast majority of the PvPers in this game recognize that farming yourself is exploiting the system and therefore don't engage in it. This makes the issue a minor exploit and one that is (and should be) ignored by the developement team. There are simply much bigger issues to address. I'm willing to bet if farming yourself/others became a common exploit being used it would be address in some way.

If faming yourself to r15 was in someway way intended or acceptable game play then there is absolutely no reason to have the rank system in place at all. They could just put a training dummy in GV/Grams that you could wack away at until you were r15 and then you would go PvP. Thats is basically what Farmpaws did for 3/4 of his infamy minus the location...

Farming is something Kelsan has been talking about in Beta as a loophole in the system they will ultimately close because of it's exploitive nature of commendations.

You sure? After.. ehm 5 years? I hope so,but i dont believe it until i see it,after all how would they do it if not with a rule like CM had,wich led to bans if you got reported and busted doing it...

I cant think of any way to get rid of farming your own toon or a friends toon over and over again atm.Any idea?

Azaleas is r15 warg on vanyar, 6-7 mounths ago he ranked, so you are a fail dual boxer.
