Thread: Access Moors with a VIP buddy!

Hi!

I think it would be a great idea if you could tag along with a buddy who is VIP and go into the Ettenmoors as a player who is free to play, or a Premium player (former subscriber), and don't or no longer have access to playing their characters in the Ettenmoors. Basically, a VIP buddy can invite one person to go with them, who wouldn't normally have access on their own, and as long as they are playing there, their guest can stay as well, freep side. But, you can only bring one guest with you at a time, who stays depending on how long the VIP player is there!

This helps you, Turbine, in the following ways!

A) Promotes VIP subscribers
B) Gives Premium players a taste of gameplay they had forgotten! Gives non-Premium players a taste of what it is like to play as a freep!
C) Generates more VIP subscriptions if those VIP "Guests" decide to pay, so they can go to the 'Moors anytime they want to!
D) Generates a more harmonious customer relations environment for Turbine!
E) Generates a better introduction to the 'Moors for new players, who would otherwise be green monsters and get killed a lot!

Thus, it creates a better impression leading to greater chances of future playtime in the 'Moors for more players, new and old alike!

That's not what I wrote. Why the negativity?

I have a friend that I want to bring into the Moors with me, and they are F2P. I'm sorry if the sole reason you pay for this game is to access monster play. So much bitterness in that single line. It doesn't take anything away from you, in fact if you are VIP, it just gives you more options.

In fact, I would pay for monster play - just - so I can take a friend with me so we can play together. So, in effect, we would both be paying for it....but for different reasons. If you think relying on someone to be on so they can take you to the Moors is giving away something, I don`t know what to tell ya.

It's a perfect way to bridge that gap and make it more accessible without giving it away. Why has the F2P model (love it or hate it) worked for Turbine? Single word: Accessibility.

More people trying new things makes for more sales.

What you are wanting is to take a Premium or Feee account buddy to the Moors with their Freep character. I do not see any reason why Turbine would want to allow this situation. Turbine lets everyone sample the Moors via a Free Reaver. A Reaver is Turbine solution to this issue.

IMHO - The two of you go as Creeps. You friend decides that the Moors is fun. Your Buddy can pay for Game Time go there with a Freep character. Or use some of the Premium Creep classes like a Warg.

It's been stated a lot of times in many threads I've read that Freepside PvMP is the only thing VIP exclusive (Destiny Point perks can be store-bought)

and most of the duos in the 'Moors will only pay half as much

some subscribers only pay for VIP to use Freepside, Turbine wouldn't want to lose this income

how would you implement when thier "VIP buddy" leaves? getting teleported out? restricted to Glan Vraig? almost all the ways I see it, it would be cheating monster players of infamy

If they had to stay within ~50m or getting insta-killed... that might work
