To my surprise the other day I looked closely at the guardian class page http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Class:Guardian and discovered that after lvl 50 stats do not increase only moral and power do. The guardian gains a little over 1000 morale in 25 levels which isn't much considering that is just a good attack or two from a boss. I haven't tested it but I think attack skills increase when you get better weapons and gear.
So this tells me that for those people wanting a challenge (experience toggle, slower leveling ect.) that all they have to do is keep there lvl 50 armor until they are done with level 50 quests or just use the gear they get from the quests as they go.
Now only if we had someway to permanently store that great lvl 50 gear so we could put it on and not make the rift a faceroll at 75 with lvl 75 gear.
Clearly you haven't been thinking. After level 50 you want on-level gears so that your stats are up-to-date. Being an extremely high level or anywhere above lvl 50 with lvl 50 rift raid gear is like a "Hey kill me" sign. As the 1k morale every 25 level that's a major part of why guardians are tanks because they can last multiple hits from bosses not one or 2 dingest. Next time think more on better armor that has better stats and think of why guards are tankers before you post anything like this again. Simple guards are tankers and its the on-level gears that raises their stats. Ever want to prove me wrong, then get 2 lvl 75 guards fight one with rift raid and another with isen raid.
I think it's more a case of you clearly not reading.
What the OP is suggesting is that after level 50, the big stat increases for people come with the better gear. So if you are at 75 for example and want to experience the old level 50 content such as The Rift, and have more of a challenge doing so, then unequip your lvl 75 gear and put on a full level 50 set of armour, jewelry etc. Understand now? Please don't criticise people if you aren't going to read their posts properly.
Sure would be nice if we had some sort of wardrobe to KEEP our old (bound) armor/gear. I cannot afford to keep 2 or three sets (50, 60, 65) and not put a bind on my storage (yes I have the primo wallet).

Thank You for reading my post. What you had to say was exactly what I was posing for discussion. The first responder missed my point completely. I'm actually keeping my Moria armor and may find a new set of jewelry and sword for level 60 so that I can run all those Moria instances with just a little moral and power boost and not overload the instance for lvl 60 kin members.
In another post http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...oric-Game-Play I mentioned having a tab like the cosmetic screen where a whole set off stuff could be stored. I wonder if it would be possible to have a lvl 50, 60, 65, and 75 window that would save items for later equipping but have it so you can't get them back out like the cosmetic items. Then if they made a simple debuff to bring down Moral and Power when you have those items equipped it would be like playing on level again. (The debuff would be gravy.)
I'm not completely sure on this... but, one problem with this could be that say for example, the 1000 block you have in your level 50 gear at level 50 could equate to a 25% block rating, the same 1000 block at level 75 would only give you 15% block rating (numbers completely made up) meaning you end up weaker then you were at level 50
sorry if I have miusunderstood something and am making no sense
I kind of took advantage of this by crafting a level 40-something Ancient Dwarf weapon and replacing my 65 SA legendary with it to go hunt a MOB in Sarnur when I was 65.
It was fun. :-)

You should be able to tune your stats with the correct gear. There are some other issues:
1) You can not down grade your virtues.
2) You can not unimprove your skills.
3) You have to remember to unequip class traits that you would not have a level 50 like your legendary capstone
4) You have to remember to remove skills that you would not have from your bars. So that you do not use them.
5) You would need to get level 50 food and pots.
6) Warding and Battle Lore will be a mess they are rating buffs that will degrade because of being over level.
Where the heck do we put all this stuff? You talking another set of armor, weapons, jewelery and consumables. If you are something like a Captain - banners.
Lore Masters have Level 73 pet in a level 50 instsnce. Or do without a pet. Some classes like Captains? have buffs that grow more powerful as the Captain levels up.
There is a level adjustment for combat. IIRC - It is a 1% bonus for each level up to a maximum of 10%. A level 75 is going to hit more often and harder with the same weapon than a level 50 character.

Very good points Yula. Even though stats don't change there are modification in the game that make it easier to hit enemies when you are over leveled and stuff like that. I forgot about those things. Storage of things is huge because noone ever has enough space, and virtues are a problem that can't be fixed.
Food, Potions, other consumables, and removing skill will indeed help recreate a more authentic lower level experience to even though it it can't precisely reproduce it.
Too bad LOTRO doesn't have a side-kicking system like GW2 to help keep lower level content current and challenging.
Then we could go back and play through the Rift/Carn Dum/Helegrod as level 50/51 and automatically have our morale/power, gear, and weapon stats adjusted to the approximately appropriate levels.
We need what other games call a mentoring system. To do it right it is not a simple implementation. Lotro has a very interwined complicated character growth, combat and gear system.
