im at myaccount.turbine.com and i login with my password
i want to change my password so i went to that page and entered a new password
the old password i use is the same one i use to login into myaccount
but it said its invalid what should i do?
Password confirmation must be between 6 and 16 characters in length, of mixed alpha-numeric characters and the symbols (){}!$%&+;:-/*^#@ only. [err: 20069]
this happened when i tried to change but my password DOES break this rule (my old one)

You are not the only customer with an existing password that violates the current rules on passwords. I can not remember when Turbine changed the rules. You will have a choose a new password that the current system accepts.
Fortunately, Turbine did not require us to change existing passwords that violate the current rules.
IIRC - One of the problems with the old rule was that you could enter passwords that were longer than the authentication system accepted. You might have a password ABCDEFGH. The authenticator would take ABCD or ABCD plus any four random characters on the end. The authenticator stopped checking when you hit the maximum checked length.
Note: There is more than one authenticator and password file. Not all applications access the master file that MyAccount modifies.

then how am i able to change my password if they do not accept the old one?
You will have to contact Account Management. You can go to the support portal: http://support.turbine.com/ics/suppo...?style=classic
fill out a email ticket and wait the two days or whatever for the ticket to be handled. I do not believe email tickets are handled on the weekend. Or you can call Turbine on the telephone: http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/contactUs.asp
during the hours the department is open. I believe the 855 number is toll free.
I would recommend calling Turbine so that you do not get stuck in email tag. Plus it gets fixed immediately. The Bunny is not a patient animal.

Are you sure it did not change it? When I changed mine a month or so ago, I got that error. So I assumed it did not change it, but when I tried to log on to the game it rejected the old password. So I tried the new one and it worked.

Same experience here. I think (- please correct me, if I am wrong - ) that the error message refers to the old password (with which I logged in), not the new one. Anyway, Turbine should check that procedure and clarify what the message exactly means - or better even: write a different message like: "Your pw has been changed, you cannot log in with your old pw anymore".
