Be happy Fellow Guardians, after all, You asked for these changes :P
I read the dev diary for the first time this morning and was amazed by the extent of the changes; really the largest I've seen (even if they only concern the OP stance) since Moria came out.
I share some of the concerns others seem to feel at the loss of defensive abilities, including the loss of mitigations and the change to Pledge, but then I looked over some of the threads posted before these changes were announced concerning "the lack of viable dps" of our class. Looking over these posts, I found several suggestions that actually show up in the Diary, so, really, you have to admit that many Guardians asked for these types of changes, and we got what many of us thought we wanted.
Anyway, just a thought.
Personally, I have to add, I look forward to trying out these changes, and the prospect of viable Sword 'n' Boarding in the Moors makes my inner freep very very happy indeed.
Also, don't forget about the positives outlined in the Dev Diary, there are many, not the least of which is the addition of 5% Parry to the Overpower stance itself, which should help add a little bit of survivability to the stance (hopefully they'll also get rid of that stupid -evade % as well).
(Can you imagine putting that mother of a bleed on up to 8 targets? (with a maxed out +target legacy)? Sounds like a good time to me, coming darn near to rivaling my aoe champ build, potentially).
