How do i get my old account back from when Codemasters was around?
I am wanting to come back to the game, but i have forgotten my password from before. I made the account from when you had to pay monthly for this game and created the account via codemasters. Any idea on how to get my account back?
if you migrated your lotro account to the new global service between may\june and november last year then you can request a password reminder at myaccount.turbine.com
if you did not migrate your account then im sorry to say you will no longer be able to access your old account as turbine have now taken over the running of the lotro EU service and the migration was closed in november last year
what system and support is that?i know ppl who they lost the lotro accounts because they go to student at university,or they go for work at another country for long time or many other exables.some of them they got lifetimes accounts with 220 euros.
why they lost them?we are serius?just data they are.
what policy is that?

simply put codemasters no longer run lotro, if you played with codeamsters your contract was with codemasters > turbine took over the EU service and rather than force every EU player pay turbine again they allowed EU players 6 months to migrate their accounts to turbine.
for the migration to work codemasters and turbine had to link their servers to allow turbine to verify the owner of the account.
after 6 months codemasters turned off the link and the old lotro account servers have been wiped there is no longer any way to veryify who owned which account
if they missed the migration then there is NOTHING anybody can do regardless of whether they payed £300 for a lifetime sub back in 2007 or £200 the month before

Most importantly, it's EU law. Codemasters was not legally allowed to retain the account information for more than a set period of time after they closed up shop, so there's no longer a way for Turbine to get it.
Work like no one is watching, dance like you don't need the money...
Potentially, you could turn to Codemasters and ask them for...compensation, an explanation or the like. No idea what the Terms of Use had back then.
The game that Codies ran is gone, parts were salvaged over a brief-ish period of time and allowed to migrate to here while EU law didn't demand the info removed.
If the information given is correct, your account and any attached information no longer exist.

If you have a problem with the policy, I suggest you complain to some EU government representatives, as it is EU privacy laws responsible for the information being gone. Under EU law, Turbine was forbidden from copying all the account information, the individual players had to initiate the transfer. Turbine made many repeated attempts to contact all the affected players at the email address that was associated with the accounts.

I'm pretty sure that the Codemasters contract would have had a clause similar to this one in the Turbine UK EULA:
Term. This EULA is effective until terminated, and those provisions which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including without limitation those provisions addressing license limitations, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification and ownership. You may terminate this EULA at any time by permanently destroying all copies of the Game and related documentation in your possession, including without limitation any and all Game Clients installed on computers under your custody or control. Turbine may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason or no reason by providing reasonable notice to you, including without limitation email notice to the last email address provided by you. Upon termination of this Agreement, you must destroy all copies of the Game and related documentation in your possession, including without limitation any and all Game Clients installed on computers under your custody or control.
