Thread: Minstrel fiddles, Female Moors toon, Mount skins, new races & requested cosmetics!

1) Fiddles for Minstrels! We don't have any stringed instruments that have lasting notes and since a violin is also called a fiddle, it should fit in nicely with LOTRO

2) Morreval class in the Moors that does tactical damage similar to a RK. We need a GIRL class to play! Also the only tactical damage class currently is a spider and they are more for debuffs.

3) A tome you can buy in the LOTRO Store which when enabled with a specific mount you have earned, will allow that mount to be used on all characters per server or per account. It could be like 995 TP or something? I mean if I already paid 2K TP for Steed of the Night I would like to use it on other toons (and though I think this should be automatic upon purchase anyway) I would be willing to pay a little more for this feature.

4) Hobbit RKs! I realize this is unrealistic but I am still asking anyway

5) A new race - - come on there has to be some other kind of race out there we could play ...

6) Please add the rest of the Ceremonial raiding outfits to the Cosmetics skirmish vendor. Specifically, the Burglar Moria helm, the Quiet Step. You have provided all 6 pieces of the Hunter set, yet only three of each the Burglar and the Warden. The Burglar helm is not one of the three, and it is the coolest looking helm in the game, and is nearly impossible to get from the actual Watcher anymore L

1. /signed - When I think of hobbits - I hear the hobbit piece in the fellowship of the ring from the movies - the fiddle part makes it seem rustic and old world-ish and really is a superb score... totally appropriate.

2. /signed - I don't MP - but its seems as appropriate as playing anything else in Monster play - especially since its a mob in the game.

3. /signed - I don't put any value on mounts beyond their function, and rep mounts are good enough for me. But if your willing to buy it - then they should be selling it.

4. /un-signed - you already know.

5. /signed - I think we would all agree to a new class that has purpose, is appropriate, satisfies lore, is allowable and is well balanced, well designed and well thought out. But would not if even one of these requirements were less.

6. /signed - A burgs helm is low on all my toons priority list, save one: my burg. and if you do it for one class you should do it for all classes.

We've been requesting this for years. It's very "lore appropriate" (Frodo mentions one in the song he sings in the Prancing Pony), so the only reason not to give us one is if it is technically unfeasible.

Spiders are a girl class. Shelob literally means "she spider". Ungoliant in The Silmarillion was also female. However, I have no objection to Merrevail being added to PvM.

Have you read the books? From this, I guess you haven't, but FYI Hobbit RKs are NOT lore-conform and what new race should there be? There are only so many races in Middle-Earth and Turbine can't just invent a new one...

Not that Hobbit RK topic again, last time it end with endless pages of rage.
And no to more races for LotRo since there are maybe only Beornings left and we have the fighting about skills and classes again!

There is already a female moors toon isn't there? Aren't the spiders female?

Although the fiddles is a good idea, you should have stopped there...

PvMP has been after a revamp for a long time, the Morroval being asked for a few times as well as a goblin... Both have merits, but Turbine doesn't want to spend too much time working on PvMP in a PvE based game...

Mounts, well, as long as people are willing to pay 2k tps for mounts, Turbine will keep putting them out there for 2k each, per toon. It's hell for us with multiple toons, I can think of many other things in the store to spend 2k tps on other then a horse cosmetic. Every one of my toons has a 250 morale +68% horse from a meta-deed. If that 2k per mount was account wide, I probably would have picked up a few... But from the amount of these mounts running around middle earth, Turbine is making a KILLING off of them and won't change their ways in regards to overpriced mounts any time soon.

New races = *slap* Go read LOTR, the Hobbit, and the Silmarilion. Every race (that wouldn't be completely OP) in those books is pretty much covered.

As for cosmetic raid gear... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Those of us who spent the time raiding it, and find it useless except as a cosmetic after the level cap goes up should have it. Considering how easy the watcher is to down these days, and that it DOES still get run on occasion, this stuff shouldn't even be in a skirmish camp. PERIOD. Same with Rift, Helegrod, DN, etc, etc, etc.

Obviously I was kidding about the hobbit RK, no need to get crazy people ... (remember its just a game also) ...

As for my other requests, they are all quite reasonable, especially the cosmetics Skirmish request as I believe that was possibly an oversight. As for the spider, well of course tI have one of those, but I really like the Morreval (still have no clue how to spell this word, forgive me) and think it would be a very nice addition

Well, I think a new monster class would be a great addition too...but Turbine has made it clear they aren't intersted in doing so, nor do they seem very interested in PvP.

definitely yes to all suggestions. Love the idea with fiddles, I spent so long looking for one when I first tried out music ingame.

With moors, I'd love to have the choice whether or not to make a female toon (there are only male wargs, a serious future problem for all wargs in Ettenmoors :P). I understand that uruks might not have any females, being a newly created hybrid breed as far as I remember and orc females might not fight, but surely wargs all hunt, regardless of gender.

Would actually also be a huge improvement to have a bit more toon choices in monster play (surely some creeps should be bigger/smaller/heavier ... than the others of their kind)
