Thread: European to North America

Hello all!!!

Well I started playing this game about two months ago and I went with the recommended server to play on. The server recommended just happen to be a European server.

So, I play the game and I really enjoyed it. My ministrel is now level 41. After I reached this level I got my potions and the best armour I can craft and I went to the Moors =). I actually did a few quest where I had to talk here and there and earn the quest reward. The thoughts in my head was, "Where are the monsters?" It took me about an an hour and a half when I was just outside the monster camp for someone to actually kill me. At this point I was disappointed.

I hopped on monster play to see if there was anyone online and it turns out the village of Gram was a ghost town. so I checked the forums to see what the problem is and that's when I found out that I was on, what people consider, a very small server. That is what lead me to Brandywine. I created another alt and it got to lvl 10 pretty quickly and I tried out monster play. The community looked like I drop right in the city of New York. This is what brings me to the switched.

Well here is the main question: Is it impossible for my character to move to this server from a smaller European to Brandywine? After all, I am an American and I had no idea about European and American servers when I first started playing.

You cannot currently transfer between former-EU and always-NA servers.

Is there any other server that is as busy as Brandywine on any of the European servers?

You don't mention which server you are currently on.

Here's some info that may help you:

- Brandywine is by far the most heavily populated PvMP server. I think it's something in the region of a 30-40% larger population than the next largest - but don't crucify me if that stat's whack.

- If you want PvMP throughout the day Brandywine is the *only* choice, although even the mighty BW has its quiet times.

- I think Laurelin has the highest EU population. (I think.... I'm not 100% sure.)

- Laurelin and Brandywine play quite differently in PvMP. If your focus is to play a freep in the moors then it might be worth rolling a creep on possible servers before leveling a freep.

NB: Since my.lotro has been broken for so long, getting current stats is impossible (eg. from http://dailystats.theblackappendage.com/). I'm working from memory here, so, to quote Bender: We're all dooooooomed!

Things are really going well in Branywine. My last server I was playing on was Withywindle. I really do enjoy this server pvmp much more though. I started an account and quickly leveled it to start playing monster play. so far my monster is rank 4 soon to be 5. There is always a chance for me to join a raid most of the time and most higher rank creeps don't mind giving a little advice to a poor greenie. I think this will be the right server for me. I guess I will not really have a freep here untill my creep get a bit more ranks. That will also help me decide which class to go for. Right now it seems that RK will quickly kill anything. The wardens are also impossible to kill. I literally mean impossible. I was in a small group of 5 and our ranks was 4,4,5,6, and 3. We seen a single warden and decided to kill him. 5 minutes later the warden is still fighting all of us and his health bar would drop to half and just top off again like it was nothing. After 5 minutes of doing this we just decided it was impossible to kill him and ran off.

Well, at least I get a fresh start on a new a new freep whenever I do start another one. It may just be a warden.
