If you are like me you pick up the tasks to do while questing. If I fill the requirements for the task while questing great if I don't I don't sweat it. And since they are not a priority to me like the quests are I wish there was a way to keep them from showing up in the quest tracker... In UI settings there is a box to check if you want your quest tracker to show, there is also a box to check to auto fill with quests, and then there is also a box to check if you want your deeds to fill the quest tracker as well... I think there needs to be a box there to check for tasks.... That way you have the option of them filling up your quest tracker or not... Just a suggestion. It gets annoying taking them out of the quest tracker to put actual quests in there.... Anyone feel the same? Please chime in with thoughts...
Agreed totally. It's because of this I don't do tasks anymore and I do not like to lock my current quests to keep the tasks off of the screen.

/signed - There should be an option to prevent this in the option panel, just like deeds.
When I roll up to a new area - I grab all the task quests first thing - and then forget about them - I do all the leveling quests, more or less in order by level (color) and kill and loot everything on the way. When I turn in quest - I turn in any tasks - and when I reached the daily limit - I keep the ones that are filled or close to being filled - then I start to vendor the rest of the junk - until the task limit is reset or I leave the area.
I want my quests to stay in my tracker in the order I "ringed" them (selected) and I don't want them to be replaced by a non-consequential task quest - or new quests - or deeds unless I select them to do so in the option panel.
I load up the DailyTasks plugin and never bother with putting tasks in my quest list. When I'm ready to clear some inventory space, I just use DT to let me know which tasks I can complete with the stuff in my inventory, and tell me which inventory items are unusable and can be sold. Then I go and obtain the tasks I can complete and turn them in immediately.
I know, I said I quit, so why am I posting? 'Cause there ain't no Blogorette patch.

Exactly what I do too. It free up quest slots too.
I dont use plugins as I cant get them to work.. I have used the step by step guide and they still dont work, so I have given up on using plugins, however I think there should be away for you to shut off the tasks going to your quest tracker.. there is one for deeds so why not for tasks and bounty quests.
I never pick up tasks. I run around questing, and when I get to a place with a task board, I open my inventory to see if I have anything they want. If so, I turn it in.

Aeryn: Run.
Sikozu: Anything more detailed, Aeryn?
Aeryn: Run quickly.

I do this sometimes but still, this is a go-around for a cumbersome feature in the quest tracker. People should not have to use some kind of loop hole to avoid a hassle in the quest tracker.

Since I've installed it I always turn in maximum tasks per day with all characters and never (NEVER) accept any task anymore, except when I'm turning it in immediately. Dailytasks shows for all trophies in your inventory where you can turn them in, if they are completed, if they are usesless for you or if they are overal junk and can be sold right away. You can even see which ones of your Alts may be able to use a trophy in your inv (or even in vault) so you can send it to them.
Give it a try and it'll probably be, unbelievable as it seems, the end of all your task troubles.
If you have read all the posts I am unable to use plugins I have contacted support and everything no one knows why they won't run.
Try posting in the Gameplay>>Lua Scripting forum. Someone there should be able to help you with getting plugins running.
It's really not that hard, especially since Turbine added builtin plugin management; pretty much unpack the plugin in the proper location, and set it to load from the character load screen.

When I enter a new area I take all the tasks. When one pops up on the tracker I lock that item and cancel the task. I repeat this everytime a new task item drops. Then at the end of each day I turn in the tasks I can and hold onto a single stack of the items I can turn in up to 5 different items. I can often turn in 5 tasks first thing each day from the previous days drops.
