Thread: Client freezing immediately after loading screen

Hello all!

Suddenly got a bluescreen while playing today. Said something about Windows shutting down to prevent my system from damage. Since then, I can't play anymore. Around 2 seconds after I finish loading, the game freezes. During these seconds, everything works. I can see people moving etc. but short after the game is not responding anymore and I have to exit it using task manager.
Other games work just fine.
Any help is welcome.

When you can post your “dxdiag” data (the steps how are in the “how to get help..” sticky linked in my sig) but also do this:

Click on the Windows "start" menu and right-click on "My Computer" or "Computer" and choose Properties. In there either click on "Advanced system settings" on the left side or select the "advanced" tab. Then click on the "Settings" button under the "Startup and Recovery" section.

In there disable "Automatically restart" and click okay on the open dialog panels. What this does is when a blue screen error occurs it keeps it on screen instead of auto rebooting, the first few lines of the error can give some details on potential causes.

In only takes a second for the CPU or GPU to overheat when 3D mode starts.
First thing to do is clean out the dust and make sure the fans are turning.

I am a VIP member of lotro who has been playing for almost 3 Years now in that time i have never experianced this problem i usually am on once a day but havent actually played for 5 days now as when i Log in i select my character it loads i have No time at all to move or anything but i have a brief 3 second or so period where i can see peoples chat then my game does not respond untill i eventually either Lose connection from the servers or use CNTRL-ALT-DELETE to get out of the game..

it has been alittle like this but not as bad for awile now ever since i to got the Blue screen

Also i have cleaned out my computer of all dust run several scans made sure my fan is running at Optimal.

still it happens i really love this game and i am getting alittle annoyed frankly is there anything i can do?

Can i atleast get a little bit of advice...my game has never done this before and im trying to cap my champ and LM before RoR so id like some help with this issue

I play this game since 2010 and yesterday, I started my computer and login to lotro, enter my password click next and the game freeze on the WB logo screen. Alt-tab wasn't working so i had to ctrl-alt-del to kill the process. I log back in and it worked out. later the same night I logout to get a meal and when I log back in the same thing happened, it just freeze on WB logo.

This was the first time ever I had problem like this logging in.

What should I do?

I'm having similar issues.....

I can log in just fine, I can select a world and a character just fine but when the loading is finished my character is stuck until it says "Your connection to the server has been lost"

Cancelling vip if this isn't fixed tonight. I'm getting so sick of issues popping up out of nowhere.

Still cant move when i log in and lose connection shortly after.
