    Bridge Control for RoR

Hey I was just wondering what everyone thought about the two bridges for TA no longer being a seperate control point and would be control by who ever controls TA. I like how they are seperate cause it then would make a jump point for the assault on the opposite team that controls. Maybe they have it linked to TA control to avoid those ever prevalent OC/EC fights that occur. What are your thoughts?

This isnt really a "new" thing as it is going back to the way it used to be. Wayyyy back when ... the bridges stayed controlled by whoever held the keep. Same as they're going to change it to now.

The reason for the change was, as they said, if u get pushed outta TA n still control the bridge, you can make a stand there. Which we all know never happens lol.

Funny, I think I read that somewhere about the "new" OC/EC ... wonder how thats gonna turn out .

BUt either way its meh .... prolly better since u dont gotta waste time taking it only to have a solo player drag the npcs to theirs and flip it back. Pretty easy way to farm stuff creepside.

Personally, I like that they're linked to the keep. However (barring any significant buff to npcs (which I seriously doubt will happen)), both sides will be able to fight on the bridges even if the other side controls TA since NPCs are easily killed (especially for freeps).

this and the moving of EC and OC has one intent. stoping the TA/STAB/EC shuffle. i think that it is a good idea.

Makes no real difference in my opinion. Any group action is going to steamroll right past the 3 NPC's on each bridge, and there is no pulling First Marshall An to the bridge anymore.

Also, it was mentioned that TA beach was being smoothed out, as well as parts of the river to provide greater accessibility. Hopefully this will encourage diversity in flanking maneuvers or approaching a keep on different sides.

The only problem I have with the movement of EC/OC is that they are now 100m away from the Lug/TR rez meaning that I'm predicting a lot of EC/Lug rez fights and OC/TR rez fights... not a good thing, btw, for all you BAs XD.

That is only assuming that TR is blue and Lug is Red. along with that, there are escapes that can easily be made to prevent those types of fights...EC/OC gets pushed, move into the delving. If a Rez gets pushed, move to the Outpost behind it and again, pop into the delving

How way back are you talking? I remember when there were no npcs on the bridges, before MoM. During SoA I don't recall any bridge NPCs though.

Yes, but I think that this makes it easier to instigate these fights for those who like these fights...

Unless my memory got fuzzy over the years (which is possible) I thought it was during SoA/MoM the bridge NPCs stayed with the keep. Everything kind of runs together anymore lol.

eh you don't really have to worry about it anymore, the dev diary said EC/OC will be relocated so the shuffles will be gone. But on the topic of the thread having it tied to TA wouldn't even stop the EC/OC since EC only happens when the keeps red thus the bridge will be red then not really making a difference except maybe keeping the fight from going into a lawn party. Same with OC since you won't really have a OC fight while TA is red only when its blue so it wouldn't accomplish anything really...

But that won't matter now, as EC will be moving near lug rez and OC near TR rez although I'd say next to rez circles is a bad idea as it'll only promote camping but hey at least the shuffle will be gone...
