My burg is about to hit level 75 and so I figured it was time to ask some gear questions. My first to level cap chars were a grd and a hnt which are geared enough to be useful in their roles and allow me to tank or dps most of what I want. Thus I have focused the burg to a more support role; I have been running in Gambler and very much enjoy the experience so I plan to continue that trend with the exception of Draigoch where I know I'll have to trait QK which leads me to my first question:
1. What legacies do I need for my QK/Draig dagger? I assume that feint attack cooldown is a must but I'm less certain whether bleed skills are useful, whether I need the stealth damage (I'm assuming no), and whether the minors are worth keeping or should be switched out for agil and vit. Remember, I'll only be using this dagger in Draigoch and raids when QK is specifically requested by the leader.
In terms of gear, I've upgraded weapons and jewelry periodically and have two 2nd age daggers & one 2nd age bag waiting for me to hit level 75. My swap bag will probably remain the 1st age lvl 60 bag. However I have simply run with the moria armor since level 60 which needs to be upgraded. I have a guilded tailor, weaponsmith, metalsmith, cook, and woodworker but no jeweler.
2. Is Theodred or GR crafted armor good enough or do I really need to bite the bullet and burn the seals for the Draig set? I have the seals for all four pieces but it would essentially wipe out my stash and so I wouldn't have any left over for GSoE's which with my four LI's (two daggers, one bag, one swap bag) will probably need. Also with the RoR expansion coming up, I'm unsure how quickly the Draig set will become obsolete and if the seals will be worth anything.
3. Lastly and probably the most costly, I don't have a jeweler so I'm dependent on drops and the AH for all jewelry. Any and all advice on what I should be shooting for is appreciated; I honestly have no idea. I'm not part of a large kin so no set raids but I do PUG Foundry T2 often and occasionally Roots and Draigoch.
Important thing to remember is that if you ask questions to a forum the feedback / results you get are purely those of the poster. I will happily offer advice but at the same time remember that this is purely my opinion. Do not take what anyone says as gospel as everyopne will have their own perspective on things. Equally, you may prefer to take what people say and put your own spin on things.
For a QK Dagger, or as you put it "A Draigoch Dagger" I would suggest the following
FA Cooldown
Positional suprise strike from stealth
Critical Response Skill damage
Subtle Stab Crit Multiplier
Subtle Stab Damage
Legacy of Agility
For QK Tools I would suggest
Addle CD
Positional damage
Skills Crit Multiplier
Aim Cooldown
Addle Induction multiplier
Legacy of Agility
As for Gambler Dagger i would suggest
Subtle Stab Crit Multiplier
Critical response skill damage
Position surprise strike from stealth (personally i wouldnt but its an option if you definalty want 3 majors)
Lucky strike cool down
Subtle stab Damage
The remaining slots either Agility, vitality or both depending if you want to use pos sup dmg from stealth or nor.
And finally for Gambler Tools,
Gamble Chance
Positional Damage
Healing mischevious Glee (I have heard theorys over using the skill to superior strength grants a higher chance for a gamble to be applied. Not 100% sure on it but i personally believe it)
Addle Cooldown
Clever retort damage and healing
Addle induction multiplier.
As for gear, I would go straight for ettenmoors armour. Its superiour to the ToO by far. I dont know if you do mych PvP but rather than spend seals on draigoch armour, just do a ToO T1 to unlock all armour and get that if you dont fancy the pvp grind. Intermitendtly, the crafted armour is fine to get you through T1.
Jewellery wise, go for the limelight gorge items, you said you have a hunter so im sure you must have a pretty good idea of the good skirmishes / instances to get agility gear. I wouldnt bother with the earrings, bracers or rings of great river, the GR necklace is okay as is the Theodred vitality bracer but only short term solutions.
Hope all this helps mate. Good luck. Any other questions etc then message me and ill be happy to help.
