One thing I never liked of the legendary items system is the fact that at the end, everybody have the exact same looking weapon, which is boring. Also there are greatly designed weapons that no one will ever see/use again because they are off level. So why do not improve this? Since we're getting customizable horses in ROR why no legendary weapons? It could be that every weapon, after getting access to legendary items, is deconstructable (or at least the legendary ones!), so you can keep the appereance of two parts of it: for example the blade and the hilt for swords or the rod and the token for staffs (except bows, which are one part only), and mix it to make your unique design weapon! It could also help RP inmersion as if you're trying to be a humble, poor Radagast-looking loremaster you could have your first age staff look just like a walking wood stick and not some golden preppy overly intricate staff. Or beeing an elf warrior you could finally have your legendary sword curved so it has that elvish look you always liked! What do you think?
PD: Also the relic system should be improved, as it makes no sense to be working over a month to get that super-special relic you want and then having to throw it away when you get a better legendary item, or having to pay an absurd tp costly scroll to remove them just once!
Yea, I would like more looks for LI weapons, although i think it would be better to just have a multiple output recipe for the LIs that each have different appearances, rather than a cosmetic slot.

We have to agree to disagree. I want a full weapon cosmetic system. Being able to pick three appearances instead of the one fixed appearance for crafted Legendary weapons does not do anything for me. I am going to be having to pick the least hateful of the three horrid looks Turbine presented to me.
I am one of these folks that sort thru thousands of visuals and finally settle on a specific look. I tend to keep this look for years. For example, the armor that Tantalus displays is a crafted tier 3? medium set. I do not like any of the later armor. I have a main hand and bow appearance that I picked out a long time ago. I am patently waiting for the implementation of weapon cosmetics to carry that bow and swords again. I want to have a matched pair of daggers or swords on my Hunter. Which I have not been able to do since the implementation of Legendary Items.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
Lotro should take a look at GW2's Mystic Forge. You can roll the dice and craft your pvp weapon/armour for cosmetic appearances with 4 items you get from salvaging from other pvp gear you can't use. I created some pretty wicked shields and weapons this weekend that are unique and really catch your eye and makes you say "oh wow, that looks really awesome!"
Cosmetics on Legendary Items should be as legendary as the dps/tact healing stats on them.

I disagree. Cosmetics shouldn't have a dice-roll at their heart (I'm creating a good outfit here, not pulling the chance lever to TRY and get something nice). Instead the system I saw in EQ2 should be implemented here -- you can slot any weapon you want in the weapon cosmetic slot. The only exceptions should be obvious ones, like a lore-master not being able to slot a bow or something like that.
In EQ2, if I remember correctly, I could even "slot" a two-hander despite using sword and shield as my actual weapons. The animations changed accordingly, of course.
