Anyone know how long server transfers are taking at the moment?
The FAQ says 5-7 business days but people in game say they have been waiting weeks. Its kinda frustrating trying to keep all your stuff in your vault and bags because the shared storage doesn't move and not knowing when your move will take place. The way the FAQ makes it sound.. you will just been playing and then get locked out for 5 minutes. It doesn't say anything about being warned or having time to get your stuff in order.
You have to keep everything in your vaults and personal inventory. The transfer could always occur while you are not connected to the game. Even if you are playing, you not going to get much warning.

I just transferred my captain earlier this month and it took 5 business days (8 with the weekend and holiday thrown in.)
You can keep your stuff in your personal vault or on your character, all of that will transfer. Shared storage, housing, and wardrobe will not transfer.

The problem is that some people claim to be well over the 5-7 business days. I read a post earlier this week that Turbine was processing requesting from July 3, 2012. Which would put it at 10 business days - 14 calendar days.

I'm not sure how it really works. I transferred only one toon, and only played on her twice during the time I put in the request and the time she actually transferred. (Mainly cause her bags were full and didn't want to lose the stuff by accident.) And it was transferred while I wasn't even online. Perhaps, if you are playing that toon they push it back? I know I read that you will get a warning that you will be logged out if you are online while it happens...but perhaps being on said toon is the reason. Like I said though, I have zero idea how it really works. Just my thought pattern (how scattered it may be.)
I put in for a transfer on the July 5th it finally came through on the 17th. Call the support if you want to know what date they are currently processing, they're pretty nice Customer service.

I have talked to a number of friends that have transferred. There is no consistent story or feedback. Historically some requests get handled right at the normal wait time. Some take much longer - Perhaps because Turbine is having transporter trouble.
Honestly, I have no idea. Apparently, you put your request in. It will get done. You have been waiting longer than the expected turn around. Do the same thing I do with everyone that have a business relationship. Call em up. Ask what is going on.
I make a point of always getting a date. I start bugging them the day after. If it is an appointment sort of thing. I confirm the appointment the day before. It is annoying to go to the doccie. Find out. Doccie is out of town. I get we must have forget to call you and reschedule.

Looks like there backed up. I noticed in the paid services sticky that they have not updated the time frame for awhile. Last time it was update was end of June.
