Cool Hello, Middle Earth and my Elven kin!

I humbly introduce myself to Middle Earth! I am Avothir, an Elf of Lorien and a proud Guardian. I see Lotro as an excellent opportunity to Roleplay with others perfectly alongside the many features included for the free players. I thank Turbine for their generosity and the time they've spent working on LOTRO. I require some assistance, and I question, what is a fairly active world to enjoy oneself with others that RP. I have visited one of the RP servers and await to explore the Landroval world but have so far found that not many people inhabit the world of what I have seen so far, but then again... I have only just left the beginning tutorial. An early question? I agree. Will the population of players increase and will the community quality be good or is there another world out there to explore with a better population and quality for RPing? I wish to have good memories with Lotro and any pointers or advice would be excellently appreciated!

-Avothir, Lorien Elf and proud Guardian of good.

    Long live the Elves!

    Another elf...

Humbly introduce yerself as a proud elf guardian eh? Pshaw! The irony of that statement probably flew right between those two pointy ears of yours. The lily-livered elf kind knows nothing of war, of a guardian's honor. Get yerself to Bree and perchance ye will find more of yer type, the elves always did prefer prancing through the cities like some kind of colored popinjay rather than the cold hard work of war and crafting. Landroval will be active enough once ye progrss to the major cities. Oh, and if ye wants to learn how to use a REAL weapon instead of that woman's needle you elf kind call swords ye know where to look.
And... erm... welcome to LOTRO! Glad to have you, and I hope you enjoy your time here!

Oh? A challenge are you looking for? I am guessing that you are of the Race of Man... as your ego certainly displays it. You mock at our ways only out of jealousy. You insult our wisdom and our history with your foul words. Do you wish to fare against me in a duel or is your mouth your only line of defense? I think the latter. We are Elves and we have been on this land far longer than you... we are smarter... we are stronger... we are more agile. Humans such as you are but an immature disgrace to the land of which you were born. *chuckles* The irony of your words... we have suffered much more than you have and your race is still but an inphant. I suggest you learn the true meaning of war, of love, of trust, of life above all else before you begin mouthing off at our great race. If you want to challenge me then I accept your challenge and I have without a doubt that the little skill you have will prove futile. *chuckles again* Oh what children.

((And I thank you for the welcome... I am guessing you belong to Landroval? I have just moved there.))

    Welcome to Middle-earth!

    About your questions..

Another server (world as you say) that certainly worths at the very least trying is Laurelin, which is actually the only Official English Roleplay Server with an extra set of rules, which you can read about them in this thread
The server has its own RP webportal too which is a great resource for the RP on the server, have a look for yourself. Laurelin Archives

Laurelin-[RP] with the various Middle-earth based RP Events/Kins, the extra set of RP rules and the nice folks that this server has, imo, from what i have seen and experienced for quite awhile now, i can say that its the most immersive and RP/lore-focused server of LotRO (and i have tried a couple..)

If you join Laurelin, feel free to drop me a tell in-game

    Fare you well!

(As a side note: You folks made me laugh out loud, lol thanks. Good job there )

Intriguing. I will move myself there immediately. It seems that it is active and I will throw a tell at you upon my arrival.

    Long live the Elves!

(Thanks for that comment I am a long time RPer. I'm guessing your name in-game is Cris?

I would try both Laurelin and Landroval before selecting one over the other.

Landroval is mostly active during NA peak hours, while Laurelin is active during EU peak hours.

    Both have good communities.
Elendilmir (the raid toons): LAERWEN, 80 htr ♦ OLORIEL, 75 min ♦ AETHELIND, 75 capt ♦ ROSALLA, 75 burg
Landroval (the RP toons): LAERLIN (Bio + Drawing) ♦ AETHELIND (Bio + Drawing) ♦ NETHAEL
